I looked at River in utter terror. My parents would be furious if I didn't attend school on time. My car was fine yesterday; why was it not working now?
"Sage, it might be a good idea to call your dad and tell him something is wrong with the car. It's an older vehicle, and maybe he's had similar issues before getting a new one," River suggested with a sigh.
I called my Dad, and thankfully, he answered.
"Hey, kiddo! Everything okay?" my dad asked.
"I think so, or at least I hope so. Raven went ahead in the twin's car, but thankfully, River decided to ride with me. My car won't start," I said, trying to hide the panic in my voice.
