Chapter 6: The Meeting!

As Alexander makes his way to meet the young master of the Gaidar family, he is already pondering the next move he could make. “since this potion is already out of commission due to that meatball, I should move with another product.” Alexander tries to rack his brain out to come up with a new product, the suddenly “where here young master. We have brought Mr. Alexander.” One of the burly man said. “come in.” a calm, cold and arrogant voice come out on the inside of the house. “please Mr. Alexander.” The burly man open the door and invites Alexander inside.

As he walk inside, he notice that the interior of the house is simple enough for any private talk to occur. At the center of the house, a young man is sitting on the couch while drinking wine. “please take a sit Mr. Alexander.” Alexander sat on the opposite couch of Levi. “Mr. Alexander, I am a straight forward man and I don’t want to play mind games and sh*t, so I’m gonna ask you, are you related to the girl from yesterday?” a tense atmosphere can be felt right now, however Alexander is still calm as a rock. “truthfully, maybe but I do not know that girl. I said maybe because she appears to recognize this body of mine and calls me young master.” Is what Alexander would like to answer “no I am not.” Alexander plainly answer. As Levi stares at Alexander, he suddenly laugh. “Great! Great! Seems that you are not lying!” Drunk another full cup of wine. “That’s it?” Alexander ask. “no, no, Mr. Alexander. That’s not all. I heard that you sold an amazing potion to the pill pavilion. Is that right?” inquiry of Levi. “yes I did, I sold 10 vials to the pavilion.” With a straight face he answered the young master’s query. “can you sell me some of this potion?” Alexander thought for a while “you, bring some tea here for Mr. Alexander” Levi pointed at one of the house keeper.

After serving some tea, Alexander raises his head and stare at the young master. He took out 9 vials of the apple gel potion “9 silvers. Take it or leave it. Also if you would like to learn how to make this, I can also sell it to you.” Offered by Alexander then took a sip on his tea. The young master was shocked on the offer and would like to jump in joy but didn’t do it, instead he calmly observe Alexander. “why didn’t you offer this to the pill pavilion but instead offer it to me?” Alexander look at the young master and smiles. “I will be honest with you young master, I won’t be able to make this potion again. The reason why is the herbs needed for this potion will be out of stock for a while and since you have a big backer like the Gaidar family, you should be able to procure the herbs needed easily.” Pointed out by Alexander “you f*cking meatball! I’m gonna make you bleed.” Said it to himself.

Like a thunder, it hit Levi when Alexander pointed out why he would sell it to him. “I see, you would like to use the Gaidar family huh… I think I told you, I don’t like mind games and scheming sh*ts!” suddenly cracked the wine glass that he is holding while a fury is burning on his eyes. “if you think it that way then don’t take my offer, as easy as that though if I offend you, let me lower the price to 8 silvers foe the 9 vials. Consider the one as an apology gift.” He calmly replied. Levi tossed a pouch full of copper on the table. “6 silvers and I will agree to buy the recipe and process from you.” Levi said. Alexander have a straight face outside but on the inside, its like a volcano that would like to erupt in happiness. “hahaha… now I will make you bleed and beg to me you big meatball!” Alexander accepts the offer and both of them shake their hands to form the deal.

As they further discuss regarding on the pricing for the recipe and process on how to make thee potion, they have come to an agreement of 70 silvers. As they finishes they transaction, they have decided as well on when would the demonstration will occur and they have come up with 2 days from now as Levi needs to prepare the needed herbs and to gather all their family’s alchemist. Alexander agrees and take his leave.

Whiles this transaction was happening, chaos can be seen in the market as the herbs and goat horns that is needed to brew the apple gel potion has been purchased madly by some unknown group. This chaos cause foe the herbs and goat horns to increase on their prices but these group of madmen cannot be stop until the price of the goat horn, reaches up to 30 coppers for every 5 grams from 10 coppers every 5 grams. Same for the other herb like the sage, lavender and blood orchid, their prices tripled from their original price. And then the chaos slowly subside and the madmen stopped on over purchasing the herbs and horns.

After the meeting, Alexander thought of visiting the blacksmith again to check on something. As he make his way to the blacksmith, he didn’t forget to check out now on the prices of the herbs. “as expected, that meatball really knows how to work. But unfortunately, your greed will be your end. I will make you a flat meatball.” A gleam in his eyes can be seen as he walks around.

As he arrive at the smith, old man Grease is there to meet him “Hey kid! What are you doing here? Do you want to order again?” Grease asked. “not today old man but do you have some gemstones lying around?” Grease thinks for a moment “I think I have some here, let me check.” Grease goes to the backroom of the smith and after a few minutes, Grease walks out holding a small wooden box. “this is all of the gemstone that we have.” As Alexander check out the wooden box, he can see some rubies, sapphire, and emerald. “hmm… how much is this gemstones” Alexander inquired “well, they are pretty but has no practical usage. We only use it for jewel crafts for those pesky aristocrat. I cam sell them to you for 5 silvers and 30 coppers a piece. How many would you like to buy?” Alexander pondered about it “I currently have 89 silvers and 58 coppers. I can buy 5 gemstone for 26 silvers and 50 coppers and I will still have around over 60 silvers.” Said to himself. “do you have some iron or steel ingot available?”, “yes we do have some iron and steel ingot left. Do you want me to forge you a weapon?” asked by Grease. Alexander thinks for a while remembering the blacksmiths that he know from his previous lives as he remember there was a blacksmith discovers that embedding gemstone on weapons can elevate it’s users ability and the weapon will also have an aura based on the gemstone embedded on the weapon.

Thinking up to here, alexander want to make sure of this rumor. He hold the small box “system, can you appraise the gemstone on this small box”. After a few moments, he got his reply “appraisal skill initialized… ding! After appraising the gemstone on the box, the system can confirmed that 6 of the gemstones on the box has an elemental aura. Locking on the gemstones that has elemental aura to guide the host.” Suddenly all of the gemstone that has an aura turned red in his vision but not to the other person. “I’ll take this gemstones. Here’s the payment.” Alexander pick out the six gems and handed the pouch of coppers to Grease. “Also how much for the ingots?”, “for you kid, I’ll sell you the iron for 8 silvers per ingot and 12 silvers for steel ingot. Don’t worry one ingot is enough for you to make a weapon.” Alexander began to calculate again and after some time “alright give me 2 steel ingot and 4 iron ingot. As for the weapon shape, for the two steel ingot, please make it a pair of long, thin twin blade and then embed this ruby and sapphire gemstones on the sword’s blade and not on thee hilt.” As he gave the instruction for the finished product for the twin blade, he also instruct for the shape for the other 4 ingot which are, a bastard sword embedded with ruby, a pair of iron knuckles which embedded with emeralds and a dagger that is also embedded with a sapphire.

“by the way, is there like an auction house around here?” Alexander asked “in this village? No, but there is one on the neighboring village. Though it is on the neighboring village, it is being run by the Bolino family. The reason why there is no auction house here is because of the Paule family.” Said by Grease. “if you are planning to sell these weapons there, then I might be able to help you as I am a regular customer there.” Grease laughs. “then I will thank you in advance.”, “no problem kid! You can come back here after 3 days for the weapons and be ready as we will also go to auction house the same day as there will be a weekly auction and we don’t want to miss that if we are putting your weapons for sale.” Alexander nodded then left the blacksmith and make his way back to Merck’s house.
