In a certain room on a certain house, a man is sitting on the couch drinking wine. A certain disappointment can be caught on his eyes “sigh, I guess I failed again in this life time” then chug the wine glass that is full to brim.   This is Alexander Mcdowell, Gold ranker level 5 and a lone cultivator with no sect to support him. He transmigrated in this world since who knows when as this is already his 99th time but every time he is being transmigrated or reincarnated, he will always start from scratch which ante his difficulty.   “Damn it! Every time I restart, why would it be from the scratch?” Chug another full glass of wine “I even created an inheritance for myself every time I got reincarnated but an unknown person will get it first! Is it that easy to get my inheritance?”   Alexander studies all sort of formations and death traps that can be created but all of it was in vain as there will be a genius of this era that will be born and will be fated in inheritance. All of Alexander inheritance was Platinum rank and with this inheritance a lot of geniuses has been appearing every time he restarts.   “Damn it all! This time I will not create any more inheritance let’s all start from scratch” Alexander knew that his lifespan is ending and again he will restart his life all over again. On the good side his an immortal being that cannot be killed as he is always being reincarnated whether his death is natural or unnatural. On the bad side it’s like a curse that slowly eating his sanity.   “This will be the last!” pours the wine on his glass “what I will strive this time will be fortune and fame!” Alexander laugh out loud and chug the glass full of wine. “and I, the great Alexander will be the most successful Merchant in this continent and I will flood even the gods with money!!” Alexander laughs maniacally.   With thousands of years of experience and knowledge, he set to take on the role being a tycoon on his next life and all of that needs preparations. Without waiting to sober up, Alexander stood up and walk to his own personal library where he kept all of his knowledge from his previous life up until his recent life.   “I should kept some information about being a merchant right?” being a lone cultivator, he met thousands of people and a big number of them are merchants. Merchants are the life and blood of lone cultivators, without merchants, lone cultivators will not survive in this world at the same time merchants will not survive without the help of lone cultivators as hired mercenaries.   In this world that is dominated by wild beast, sects are the sole protector of the human territory. Even a kingdom or an empire cannot be compare to a sect, let alone a simple merchant. That is why it is very important for a merchant to hire cultivators which can help them alleviate the danger when travelling.   “This is it!” Alexander pull out a big black tome titled How to be a merchant for dummies. “Alright, let see” Alexander calmly open the book and read the contents. After reading the book for a few ours, “The heck! That’s it? So all I need is business permit from the kingdom or empire and I can open either a store or be a travelling merchant!” Dumbfounded, Alexander can’t help but wanting to throw the book however he stop midway. “No, no keep your cool it’s just an introduction. With this thick book I should learn something useful.”   After comforting himself, Alexander continues reading the book and after a few more hours “F*CKING HELL! Too many information to understand. Now I know why merchants are not that famous as a profession.” Alexander sighs, in this world the ratio of merchant is 1:100 or 1 merchant to every 100 lone cultivator and that is why most will chose to create a sect instead being a merchant. “At least I know now that trust is the most important thing for a merchant and being trustworthy means more business.”   After reading the book, Alexander is now ready for the restart, the only problem now will be his starting point. Every time he is being reincarnated, he would be either an abandoned child and will be raised by a random mortal or an unknown youth with no background. “I hope it will be the latter so that it will be more easier to get the permit as getting a permit needs for me to be 16 years old and up”   After thinking for a while, although he won’t create any more inheritance, he will need money to create his own mercantile empire and this starting money will be the crucial thing for his goal. “Should I use that method again?” mumbling to himself “But that would be risky, the I almost failed last time if its not for Charles.”   As a lone cultivator, you would involuntarily make friends such as one of his buddy Charles François. “Should I just ask a favor? Hmm, but he will be also at the end of his lifespan unless he breaks through to Platinum.” Thinking of this, Alexander dumped the idea and think of something else. “Should I just bury some money so that I can just retrieve it? No that’s impossible as well as I don’t know exactly when my new life will begin.”   Every time Alexander restart his life, there will be some gaps. Like his first restart the gap from his initial death and reborn is 500 years then his second restart has a gap of 400 years then on the third, it jump to 700 years which hinted him that the restart is random as it can get.   Alexander sat on the ground and tried to think of more viable solution and racked his brains out but cannot think of any plan for him to secure the money he will need. “F*ck it! Let’s just go commando like I always do, it might take me a few years but that is just a small set back.”   Determined and decided Alexander goes to his room to start his seclusion “Alright shall we start?” he sat on his meditation cushion and wait for his life to restart again for the 100th time.
