44. Meeting

The guards open the door for me and My dad is at his end of the table. And we have all of the advisors this time. Tre, Dipak, Gunner, Frode, and Dracul. I didn't even know he was here.

"Daddy, Advisors." I curtsey and sit down at my end of the table.

Dracul glares at me. "Did you enjoy your little trip?" He says it with an attitude and I think it's funny.

"Yes, I did Advisor Dracul. Thank you for asking sir."

Frode smirks.

My dad smiles at me. "Princess..."

"Yes daddy?"

"Just give me a minute. Frode can you?"

"Of course sir. Princess, with regards to the bond contract between you and Advisor Tre"

"You can break it."

They all stop and stare at each other for a few seconds. I guess they didn't expect that.

My daddy finally speaks. "We're not breaking it. All parties do not agree."

I wonder who the hell these parties are. Probably everyone here. Dracul no doubt. Wants to be a kings dad. I watch Tre for a minute, then back to my father. "Tre is a fine choice for a future king. We would be lucky to have him as such."

I see Dipak smirk, Tre sigh, Dracul nod, and Frode write something down.

Daddy stands back up. "Princess."

"Yes daddy?"

1 minute passes. "Anyone else go next."

Frode puts his pen up. "In regards to the night you ran from Advisor Dipak." I feel myself shudder. I do not want to think about that. "Can you please go over again why you ran from him. I still need to close that."

"Of course, Advisor Frode. Advisor Dipak entered the cave and told me to stay outside. He had fire at that point so he could see. It seemed like he had been in there for years. I was getting scared by myself. I thought maybe he was lost or hurt. I entered the cave and yelled for him. He answered me right away and said 'do not come in here princess.' At that point I tripped over some chains and saw a dead body in shackles. I..."

"Are you ok princess?"

"Yes, I'm sorry. I... saw myself in the chains. It was very scary and I started screaming. Advisor Dipak found me and tried to escort me out of the cave. But when I seen the chains and he was pushing me... I got scared. I thought he was there to hurt me. I ran as fast as I could. He was telling me to stop. But I was really scared and kept running. I was running from Advisor Dipak. That is why I did not stop when he gave me the order to stop."

"Ok and what time was it when you arrived at the werewolf village?"

"I'm sorry Advisor Frode, I do not know the time. It was dark though."

"Thank you princess. I will close that one."

Dracul crosses his arms. "And exactly what were you thinking about running away like that?"

I stand up and hit the table. "I am a member of the royal family, I am the Vampire Princess, and therefore, I outrank you. You will show me respect. If you refuse that, I will have you removed." I sit back down.

He stares at me with his mouth open. Dipaks smirk has changed to a smile. Tre is even smiling now.

"Princess"

"Daddy... we've done this a few times now, we all know who we are. Did you have something to ask or do you just like saying princess?"

"Princess."

I sigh and put my hand on my head. "Daddy."

He opens his mouth. Then closes it and shakes his head.

Dipak tries not to laugh. "Princess Nadine, do you have anything to ask or say to the counsel before we close the meeting?"

"Yes Advisor Dipak. Thank you for asking. I will be leaving the castle 2 nights per week to do what I want. I will take no guards. It is only my business what I do."

"It is not safe."

"You can not do that."

"No."

"STOP! I AM NOT ASKING PERMISSION. I WILL RECEIVE 2 NIGHTS A WEEK TO MYSELF."

Tre looks at me. "Ok."

Dracul stands up. "You can not be serious as to agree to that. She is your future mate."

"What's the worst she's going to do, dad?"

"GET PREGNANT!"

He smiles at me. "I trust her."

Wow. I don't even know what to think about that.

Dipak looks at me. "Can you please give us at least a 10 hour notice on these nights so I don't have to listen to alarms go off because they lost you again?"

I start laughing. "Yes, Advisor Dipak. That is fair, I will give notice."

"Anything else?"

"Can I have a pet?" Humans are so fun to kiss.

All of them yell "NO" at the same time, except Frode who shakes his head. "Actually, we have to discuss it, but you already see how it's going to turn out, princess."

I nod.

"Princess."

"DADDY."

"We added in some defense training for you. You will be training with your bow, sword, and dragon each for 3 hours per week."

"Can we add hunting on that list?"

Tre yells, "NO."

Dipak busts out laughing. "I'll work with her on the hunting. Tre can take fishing."

Tre shakes his head and rubs his eyes.

Dad stands up straight. "Anything else? Meeting over. Thank you everyone for attending."
