“It has got to be here somewhere...” I groaned as I burrowed through the mountain of books on William’s desk.
I had not slept well since our return home from Blackwood Castle. A desire to learn the truth spell haunted me. William found every excuse not to teach me. I had no idea why, but I knew I needed it. He had taught me a few spells, tried to home in my telekinesis, and tried to help tame my pyro power. But never the truth spell!
“Come on...” I sighed, wiping sweat from my brow with the sleeve of my dress. “It must be here.”
After upturning every book, I hurried to the shelf behind the cauldron. “Please be here!”
Every shelf was laden with scrolls, half written on parchment, vials of ingredients… But no book.
