The topic went off track way too quickly. Laurel was thinking how to bring it back on track but Darius was a step ahead.
"How come you are here? A week isn't over yet."
Scarlett coughed, "There was an accident so they let us go back home earlier."
"What accident?"
"A fire accident."
Laurel gasped, "Fire? Are you alright?"
Darius didn't seem as worried as her but his tone soften a bit to show his concern.
"Where was the fire? Any casualties?"
Scarlett sat up. "I am alright. No casualties."
She sneaked glances at Darius, then guilty admitted, "I was making instant noodles in a new pot that Tina brought. It caught fire and burnt the curtains...."
