Laurel saw the effects of not having Scarlett around almost immediately. The mansion appeared bigger than it was, Laurel found herself rotting away in her room or in the kitchen. She had nothing fun to do anymore.
Laurel was hesitant to call Scarlett too because of classes. She didn't know when it was convenient for her to take a call so Laurel simply didn't. Short texts were exchanged from time to time but the week suddenly felt longer than it should.
It has been two days since Laurel started to experience the symptoms of boredom. She sat listlessly in the living room. Her legs folded under her on the carpet. She switched the channels on the tv with a bored expression.
