Darius was, surprisingly, not upset. He was glad that Laurel was thinking about Scarlett. Thinking back, Darius couldn't remember the last time he intentionally made time for Scarlett out of his schedule.
They happened to eat together sometimes or happened to see each other at home. There were no plans made to spend time together. Darius knew about his sister's life on the surface, and it looked like a lot of fun, so he let her run freely as she liked.
Now that Laurel had said it, he realized how wrong he was. How many times did Scarlett eat alone at home? Darius was always busy with work, and often times he didn't pay attention to what he ate or when. It didn't matter to him.
