Adam, Lizzy, and I pulled into the driveway of Laura’s house, where my baby shower was being held today. Adam has been acting kind of weird since Laura called him this morning.
“Let me take Liz in first. Then I can come back out and help you.” Adam said.
“Adam, I can walk 10 feet, it isn’t that big of a deal.” I told him.
Adam smiled and said “I worry ok, my son is being a pain in the ass to you.”
I rubbed my belly and said “Yeah, he is. Like father, like son. I know you are worried about me. Seriously, it is fine. Get Lizzy out and we will all walk in together. Then I will sit down as soon as we are inside, ok.” I said, giving him a kiss on his lips.
“Ok, let me call mom so she has a chair ready.” He said to me, picking up his phone to his ear.
