The height difference between us feels like a huge gap and a powerful advantage he holds above me. His frame is larger and he is definitely stronger than me. And right now, with the way he’s watching me, furious, anxious, is making me feel like I should run. Run as fast as I can and get away before he can trap me. But I don’t. I want to hear his petty excuses. I want to see and hear what he has to say, because this was his only chance at doing so. In his eyes I can see he’s trying his best to piece it all together, his story, his excuse, but as moments pass and nothing comes out, I sigh and roll my eyes, untangle my arms from around my chest. “That’s exactly what I thought!” I hiss and turn on my heels to walk away. But his hand grabs my arm and before I can protest, I’m yanked harshly
