When he said that taking the goblins on for a mission would hurt his reputation, he was not kidding since that mission was basically only for the weakest and beginner hunters; in an RPG video game, the mission of defeating the goblins was for hunters whose level was from around 1-5 and Levi’s level was around 90. In conclusion, the goblins could just serve as punching bags for Levi.
