AL-AMAN, BOARDROOM OF AMAN OIL CORPORATION AND AL-AMAN GROUP OF COMPANIES.
"Amir, you have disgraced our company and our Empire," Emir-Hamza-Al-Aman, Ruler of Jordan, told his son in a grave tone.
The oldest member on board, his father and CEO of 'AL-Aman-Group of Companies', was upset, meant Amir had not done any favor by inviting his wrath.
Emir-Hamza had selected his son, Amir, over his younger brother Rashid, as the heir apparent to the throne. But he had disgraced himself in front of paparazzi while on a tour to Europe, and the matter was blown out of context by them.
If things did not go well in the board meeting, then it would be a final nail in Amir's coffin.
"Amir,' Emir Hamza said on behalf of the board. "We have discussed all your actions, and have arrived on a solution, that benefits both you, as well as the Kingdom." Amir remained silent. The Emir continued, "We have a plan that would improve your image both with women as well as our business rivals."
Amir held his breath and waited for the final orders. He very well knew that they were impressing people both in the Middle-East, as well as West.
Emir-Hamza continued, "We recommend that you get married within two months. The decision is final."
Amir opened his mouth to comment, but the glare that his father gave him across the table, stopped him.
Emir Hamza continued, "We also suggest that you find either a British or an American Bride. That would be proof to the rest of the world, that you are very open-minded."
"But, how is that possible? What about our lineage?" Amir further continued, "What if I don't?"
Emir-Hamza-Al-Aman replied, "We shall replace you, Sheikh-Amir."
Sheikh-Amir, knew one thing very clearly, that if his uncle took over the leadership of the 'Al-Aman Group of Companies' then it would be the end of all their philanthropic and charitable activities.
Amir's Uncle, Sheikh-Rashid, had made his stand clear from the beginning, that he would not support any charity. He would instead divert all the money into the business if he came to power.
Sheikh Amir finally shrugged and stood up. He said, "I'll see you back here in a month gentleman, with my bride accompanying me."
