Serena fidgeted in the small chair, trying not to search for Amir in the people passing outside the bakery window. He had instructed her to do whatever she wanted and now that she had a chance to immerse herself in a bit of his culture, the idea of East meets West appealed to her. And one couldn't get much more Western than a big old tiered wedding cake. Unfortunately, the cakes on display at the shop were all decorated in bright colors representing every color of the rainbow. Every color except the white or ivory that she needed. The shapes were also a problem- Squares and even triangles, instead of elegant circles.
