Episode 1-How it begin

489 Words
/Ariana's POV/ I looked at the papers with tears in my eyes. How could I possibly sign these papers? I couldn't even bring myself to think of it; I felt terrible. I took the pen with trembling hands. I guess this was the end, I thought as the pen trembled in my hands. My eyes were with the only man who ever understood me so much. He could see it—the pleas in my eyes. The pain and agony it carries. I let a tear trail down as I faced back the papers that I held. I placed the pen on my signing spot then he held me. His eyes held unspoken pleas, too. He had begged mercilessly not to do this but I had to. I needed to protect him; I needed to sacrifice for him. I was doing it because I couldn't imagine something bad happening to him. Just at the moment, I placed my hand on his to remove it, I felt the urge to puke. No, no, not now. I internally pleaded but I had to leave. I immediately dropped the pen and ran to the lawyer's restroom, where I let go of the content in my tummy. "Is she alright?" I heard the lawyer ask Ethan. "I'll check," Ethan volunteered and walked towards me. "Sorry, I must have taken something bad. I'll continue," I stuttered, moving back towards the table. "Ariana?" Ethan called eyes filled with tears. ETHAN'S POV I pray all this was a nightmare that I wish I'd wake up from. I just couldn't believe my agreement with her was coming to an end. I was not ready to let go, not ready to say game over. Though we've both been used—brutally—and not cared about, I still found it hard to believe. I sighed, wishing Ariana wouldn't place a pen on that document, but she did. But the moment she turned her eyes to me, I could feel her begging me to stop her I didn't know what to do. She had yelled at me and shouted that it was over. Why would this same woman be eye-pleading me to stop her? Why? Why is she suddenly holding back? I felt confused as I quickly held back her hand. She felt relieved and held back, but there was no intention of giving up. She suddenly concentrated on signing the document until she ran out of the office, shocking me and the lawyer. Women just don't puke all of a sudden. I remembered our days together and frowned. What if? What if? I kept wondering as I called her name. "Ariana?" I called and she reluctantly turned to me. "Are you pregnant?" I asked, shocking her. Her expression was not readable. I couldn't guess the answer to my question. All I could think of was our adventures and time together. It hurts as I travel down memory lane.
