/Ariana's POV/
Everything almost stopped the moment Ethan and I walked into the event. The place wasn't essentially big; the event was held outside the facility under the open space but the high table was placed under a sun-shielding canopy.
It was still quite open for all to see and I watched as my mom announced our arrival. Then one of the ushers standing by the side of the raised stage walked to our side and gestured me and Ethan over to the seats reserved for us on the stage where we were made to sit.
Jasmine, Maya, and Chelsea were there seated as well, and they all stood to welcome us as we joined them.
"I'm very glad you have decided to grace this occasion Ethan" The way my mom casually called Ethan would make anyone think they are pretty close but Ethan looked a little off and
