Lina's POV
I will not let Marcus Green upset the routine I have with the twins. Every Saturday we swim and have a barbecue outside. We will do it again today as it is Saturday and forget last night ever happened. We will ignore him if he comes outside again and pretend he does not exists. I am not going to let any man ruin my life again. I will not be that pathetic woman I was when I was married to Jack Adams. I am Lina Harrison now! A strong woman who has her own company that is busy ruining the Adams family and her father. I know my father will be out of money soon as he is gambling and drinking all the time. He has nothing left to sell as he owes a lot on his house already, and if they sell his house from under his ass, he must not even think of coming to me and ask for help! He can stay in the streets for all I care! I do not want to ruin Marcus Green as he did not really do anything to me. It takes two to tango, and I was as much part of that night the twins were conceived as he was, but he will regret it if he messes with my children and me!
The twins are already waiting for me as I walk outside with my bikini on, sunglasses, and a big hat. I have a cocktail in my hand as I am going to catch some sun today. I first rub the twins with sunblock and them myself. Then, Melinda helps me put sunblock on my back. Finally, we are ready for our Saturday out in the sun. As we walk outside, Marcus is sitting next to his pool with a drink in his hands, and he is looking at something on his phone. I ignore him flat out as I walk out with my children, and I hear a splash like something falling into his pool. I look up.
"s**t!" Marcus says and jumps into his pool. He comes up with his cellphone in his hand and glares at me. What did I do? He throws his sunglasses and wet cellphone on the sunchair.
"Women with a bikini that are built like you should come with a bloody warning sign! But, damn, look what you have done! I think my cellphone is messed up now," Marcus says. Lucas starts laughing as he looks at the man in the pool and his wet phone.
"My mum's company sells cellphones that are waterproof, sir. So you should buy one," Lucas says.
Marcus glares, and Lucas, who is still laughing at him, Melinda joins in, and soon all of us are laughing at Marcus.
"Glad my dilemma amuses you three so much," Marcus says.
"You can get out of the pool now, sir. You got your cellphone back," Lucas says.
"No, I can't. Tell your mother to wear a towel around her or something," Marcus says. I blush as I know why Marcus can not get out of the pool, but I will not make it easy for him, so I put down my cocktail next to my chair with my ass showing his way. I hear him groan, and I smile. I will teach you, Marcus Green! Two can play dirty.
"Why can't you get out? Do you have a cramp?" Lucas asks.
"When you are a man, one day you will understand, but yeah, I have a big cramp," Marcus says.
"Well, this is our yard, and my mum can walk around with her swimming suit all she wants. If you do not want to see her like that and her body offends you, you can go inside and leave us alone, Mister," Melinda says. I can see Melinda is angry as she thinks Marcus has insulted my body. I know better, but I am not going to help him out at all. I go and sit on the sunchair and ignore Marcus. I have not spoken to him since I came out, and I will. I will pretend he is not there at all. As I sit down, I hear him groan again.
"Your mom's body does not offend me at all," Marcus says as he looks at Melinda and tries not to look my way. I can look at him without him knowing as I have my dark glasses on, and I can see his eyes going over my body now and then, although he tries very hard not to look at me.
"It excites me," He says under breath so the kids can not hear him. I feel myself blush again, but still, I say not word to him. The kids run to our pool and jump in it. They are playing and having fun, and Markus is still standing in his pool, and I wonder when he will get cold enough to get out. His towel is on the other side of his sunchair, and if he wants to get it and cover himself, he will have to make a run for it before the kids can see his "cramp," or he will have to wait for his "cramp" to go down. I smile as I think about his situation, and I do not feel sorry for him at all.
"You do find this amusing, don't you, Lina?" Marcus asks, but I do not answer him. On the contrary, I will not acknowledge him at all.
"Okay, be like that. Ignore me all you want!" Marcus says. I decide to help him out a bit to at least get out of the water and ask the children to bring out some snacks for us. I do not mind if they make the floors in the kitchen wet. I will just dry them later. Marcus gets out of the pool fast as the kids go inside and put a towel around his waist.
"Thank you. At least you are not a total sadistic b***h," Marcus says as he walks inside. I laugh as he goes inside. I saw his hardon, and I could not believe I can do that to the billionaire Marcus Green. Well, I did it one night, but I was much younger then.
"Yeah, laugh Lina Harrison, but remember. The one that laughs the last laugh the hardest," Marcus says with a smile on his face. The bastard! I bet he knew I saw his hardon, and he took a bit longer to put that towel around his waist on purpose. Oh well, I enjoyed the whole show and the predicament he was in. I won this round!
The kids come out with the snacks, and we enjoy the rest of our afternoon without seeing Marcus again. However, I can not help but seeing Lucas watching his house now and then as if he hopes to see Marcus again. I think he misses having a father, and now that he knows he has one, he will miss it even more, but he does not know how dangerous Marcus Green is for our little family. I can not allow Marcus into my children's lives as I do not know what his plans are. What if he wants to take them away from me? Can I fight a billionaire in court? I can not allow it, and I am not planning on becoming his plaything or get hurt by a man again. Marcus Green can go to hell! I will fight him all the way, and he will not become a part of my children's life! My mind is made up, and it looks like the children understand that I am trying to protect them from Marcus Green as they did not show him any love or admiration. I hope he does not use other measures to win their trust, but I know my children are very protective and will never choose him over me. They love me as I am all they have since they were born.
The following day we go out to a local restaurant to meet up with Mavis. The children love her, and we enjoy our lunch. There is a play area, and the children go to play with some of the other children playing there.
"You will not guess who moved in next to me!" I tell Mavis.
"Who? A handsome young man?" Mavis asks.
"The father of the twins! And guess who he is?" I ask Mavis again.
"Who? A really handsome rich guy?" Mavis asks.
"Marcus Green!" I say.
"No way! What the hell are the chances of that happening?" Mavis asks, looking shocked.
"I don't know, but I do not know how he found out about the twins and me, but I am sure he knew about us before he moved in as he was not even shocked when he saw the twins!" I say.
"Wow, this is unbelievable! What are you going to do? Move?" Mavis asks me.
"Like hell, I will! It is my house, and I love staying there. I hope he will get tired of his little game soon and move back to Houston," I say.
"He will not, and he is not playing games, Lina Harrison. You see, Marcus Green always gets what he wants, and he is not planning on moving anywhere until he got his family," A voice speaks behind me, and Mavis sits looking like a fish out of water. Her mouth is opening and shutting. I feel the coldness running down my back as I turn around slowly, only to see the man I was talking about standing behind me.
"We are not your family, and you will do yourself a big favour by not wasting any more of your time, trying to convince me otherwise," I say.
"We will see," He says as he bends over and plants a kiss on my head before I can do anything. I am angry on the spot, and if we were not in a public place, I would have slapped the living hell out of him. Lucas and Melinda come walking over, and Lucas comes to stand in front of me as if he is trying to protect me.
"My mother did not permit you to kiss her in a public place, sir. So, please, know your place!" Lucas says as he stares down Markus. Lucas is tall for his age, and I can see why as Marcus is a tall, well-built man.
"You make me proud, my son. Standing up for your mother," Marcus says as he ruffles Lucas's hair and walks over to a table. At the table, an elderly couple is waiting for him.
"Why didn't you tell us you have children, Marcus," The elderly lady asks.
"Would you have cared, mother?" Markus asks.
"Why are you not married to the children's mother?" The older man asks.
"Because she is damn stubborn, but I am working on it," Marcus says as he looks at me.
"Let's go before they come over here or invite us over there," I say, and I get paid the bill and grab the twins hands as we walk out. Mavis follows us. Mavis comes home with us, and I am still angry. How dare he kiss me in public! Okay, it was just on my head, but if the wrong people saw it, we would be all over the tabloids and internet as I am sure everyone knows Marcus Green, although he keeps out of the tabloids and internet. He is a very private person, but I am sure the paparazzi will know who he is and always try to get photos of him. Okay, this round goes to Marcus Green. I just hope his little antics do not get the media's attention on my children and me. That was a low blow, Marcus. You will pay for that one! We reach our home without any problems, and I am relieved that Marcus is as private as I am. I am sure he does not want the twins in danger and will keep them out of the tabloids and the internet. That does not make right what he did, though! He is going to pay! Mavis and the children do not say a word as they can see I am steaming angry!
