I can’t believe they have gone behind my back and had my fated mate privately investigated without my knowledge. Without even discussing it with me first! Yes, I knew they were thinking of looking at the businesses, which was not an uncommon practice, and something we had done previously with other business associates we were uncertain of, to ensure our safety. But this I think was a step too far.
But it intrigued me too that he said there were definitely some facts there, as the investigator had warned them when they had spoken. Why had they not asked there and then what they were? Instead of waiting for a full report once the investigation was complete. I don’t think I could have waited!
