Kayla pov
I woke up with a stiff neck, i was wondering why until i realize i was in the back seat of my dads suv, Sitting up so i could see where we were at, i knew we were not in our hometown anymore, mom was eating a small bag of bbq chips with a water, dad was drinking a soda, i reached back in the cooler grabbing a water, i was thirsty, i wondered how long i was a sleep, because i had no idea where we were at, i noticed the gas light was on, i knew we had to stop at the gas station to fill up,
"Dad, where are we at?” Looking in the rearview mirror, he chuckled when he saw my sleepy eyes,
“Were in Virginia right now, just four hours away from home that's all, were stopping for gas just up ahead so if you need to use the bathroom go while i'm pumping gas” Four hours away from home? that means he had to stop another time for gas, damn i been asleep for four hours geesh, When we finally stopped at a gas station, i could smell wolves, yep wolves worked here, that's just great, i wondered if they would start trouble with us, i was hoping they wouldn’t we don’t have time for this bull crap, all I wanted was to get there, get the business done then head back home, I know while we are there im going to shift, and that's what scares me the most, What happens if we need our pack doctor he will be eighteen hours away he would be unable to help me,
“Don’t worry, humans. We will help you.” Now i knew that wasn’t my lycan she sounded more friendly than my lycan did, but Lycans are a little bit more ruthless, So i decided to ask her, her name,
“Oh my goddess, are you my wolf, what's your name? mine is Kayla, i'm sorry i sound excited, i been talking to my lycan for week now, i was starting to think you was going to sleep forever,” I heard her chuckle a little,
“My name is Aurora, I wasn’t going to sleep forever silly, I wake when it's almost time to shift, I come to the surface and began to talk so we can get close, sometimes we wake when our mates are near us, but hes not. not yet anyway, but i have a feeling he is close,”
‘Come on Aurora, if our mate is near then he will come find us, let's not be easy to get, my lycan Queen had said,” they started laughing it was like a party in my head, i chuckled while i walked to the bathroom, my parents looked at me like i was crazy, my guess they will ask me what was so funny, maybe i saw something they didn’t, but i knew the questions would start once we get back into the car, i didn't sit down on the toilet, i squatted, did my business, then washed my hands, i hurried out of the bathroom, i felt like someone was watching me in there or listening, just say the bathroom was spooky and a little smelly, like they don’t clean it but a few days a week. I couldn't wait to get back on the road. finally, dad was done putting gas in the suv when a tall man walked toward dad, i could tell he was wolf. He wasn't a rogue. he was from a pack, i was on edge when he face dad, they were talking about something, damn the windows were rolled up, wait, i have lycan and wolf ears, so I let them hear,
“Why are you in my town? Are you just passing by, are rogue, you don’t rogue, you smell of Aura, you're an alpha, aren't you?”
‘Yes, I’m a alpha, we are the black family, im Mercury black son, you probably haven't heard of us, Were on our way to King Lucas he has asked us to come.”
“Yes,. Yes I have heard of you alright, your the most powerful pack around, you say that King lucas ask for you to come, then it must be very important, I will see to it that you're not harmed by anyone, while you are leaving this town.” i heard my dad chuckle as he looked the guy in the eyes, i knew he felt threatened when the guy told him this, he told this man in the most threaten alpha ton he had, and trust me that is scary as h3ll when he speaks in that tone,
“I tell you what, If anyone tries to harm my family, they will have h3ll to pay, we are not starting trouble, we stopped to get gas and use the bathroom thats all we did, if there is a problem with that, than someone here has a huge problem, we are leaving now, do not try and start s**t, because we will finish it like we always do.” The man backed up bowing his head,
Excuse me mr Black, i wasn't threatening you, i meant no harm, go and have safe travels, I watched as he backed away slowly he was looking over my dads shoulder, i slowly turned to where he was looking at, there where four wolves ready to attack, that mother f*****g c**k sucker, i was glad i kept a gun out, these bullest was laced with silver and wolfbane, they will kill a wolf in a instant. I reached the button so the window would roll down, my mother saw what i was doing, these were not regular wolves, these were rogues in a pack doing what they wanted, when they came out of the woods running toward my dad, i screamed out to him,
“DAD! LOOK OUT!!!” My dad shifted so did my mom, the warriors did as well, i was aiming at a wolf that was running at my mom, i pulled the trigger shooting it in the head, the wolf went down fast it died right when it hit the ground, there was a fight going on and here i am shooting at the wolves, i saw the man watching me, he was growling me, he looked up like he was looking at something, then he took off running for his life, the fight ended as fast as it started, my parents shifted back got dressed then got back into the suv. dad took off while the rest of the pack followed, we wer pissed, i knew something like this would happen, i don’t see why we just couldn't stop do what we need to do than just leave, instead some assholes tried to ambush us, they heard of us so they wanted to see if they could kick our ass, well you saw it, we kicked theirs instead, dad and mom finally calmed down, then he started yelling at me, until mom told him to stop,
“she was trying to protect us Isiah, she killed two that were coming after me, so chill the h3ll out,”
‘I know that Ava, but she needs to be more careful, those bastards could had crashed into the car and gotten her, she hasn’t shifted yet, so she needs to be more careful,”
“Hmm, mom, dad, my wolf talked to me today, her name is Aurora, and she's pretty cool, she said i will be shifting where at the castle,” When i told them that dad almost lost control of the car, then he got back control before we ended up on the side of the road upside down or on the side, geesh what's going to happen next, i better not say that, i don't want anything to happen, i just want to get there in one piece
