"Are you leaving early today?" I asked Juriane, an attempt to strike a conversation as I watched her clear her table from my cubicle.
"Yes." Juriane without sparing a glance. It's been a few days since I had that outburst and she's been acting indifferent since that day.
She always tells me if she is leaving early, or if she wants to stay longer in the office, but now she stopped telling. She stopped bringing lunch and won't do anything unless I tell her to.
I honestly don't see the wrong in what I said, I was just being careful and since she cleared the air about her intentions; I don't understand why she is trying to keep her distance from me. Usually a situation like this would make me happy, but right now it just makes me uncomfortable, and sad.
