||*KIMORA*|| "Thank you all for the introduction, I know my secretary did the briefing before I came so I won't waste your time and just say this. I know my uncle is a good man, and he treated this company like his won, so whatever rumors going around about him better be good. He is retiring for his health and to spend more time with his family, now to put this out there, I am not here to walk in my uncle's footsteps. I know he probably treated you all with extra care and special treatments, now I am not a wicked fellow, but I would not tolerate any form of work negligence from any staff member. Yes, the majority might try to slack off work because the new CEO is a lady, I won't bat an eye before cutting off any incompetent staff, I don't care how long you've been working with the company. Sure, there are enough people out there who would be glad to take your position. Work with love and diligence, you'll enjoy working with me, but do the opposite, you'll find out the repercussions." I announced to the major staffs of the company and watched as they all fidget in their seat.  "I am aware of the request from the sales department regarding increment of salary, would the managing director of the department please stand up." I called, going through the notes on my tablet. Uncle Wyatt had sent it to me during the weekend to go over it and decide if it's something I want to do or not.  "Mr. Collin here Ma." the managing director announced, and I raised my head up.  "Mr. Collin, I've read through your demands, but first I'll like you to send me reports of the last three years from your department. I want the reports on the gross total of your department's input in the company income, and also the director of the finance department should report to my office, first thing tomorrow." I instruct, turning my attention to the director, who nods.  "Mr. Collin, once I have those files, I'll do the evaluation and let you know if your demands would be met or not. I would only decide based on the work input and output of your department, thank you, please have your seat." I said to him and he sat down.  "Thank you Ma." He said, and I continued with the other briefs and things that needed my attention.  "Oh, before I leave, it shows here in my tab that three people are absent from this meeting. Where is the manager of accounting?" He raised his hand from the where he was seated.  "Two of them are from your department, whenever they show up, tell them to see me." I instruct and he nods.  "Also, the head of transport team is absent, tell her to see me as well, that will be all. I hope we can all work diligently together as a team, have a nice day." I said, standing up from my seat and I exit the conference room.  I rode the elevator back to my office and once I got in; I busied myself with the pending business proposal uncle in my emails from before I came back home. Uncle Wyatt had sent some to me months back, but my ass didn't even look at it, because I was busy living a lie.  Wasted my time falling head over heels for someone who only wanted me for their own benefits, it's funny how I always end up with the wrong type of men, even when I am nice. Perhaps it's a curse, whatever it is, gone are the days when I act nice with them, I would chew everyone of them out every chance I get. They don't deserve the respect or kindness, none of them do. The office talephone on my desk rings and I pressed the answer button, [I've forward the file you asked for to your email. Also, the staff who were absent from today's meeting are here to see you.]  [Thank you, tell them to come in. Please remind me to brief over the file from my uncle's last business meeting.] I informed her before ending the call and a few minutes later; the staffs knocked on my door before walking in.  "Good day Ma." I raised my head from my computer, eyeing the three of them, and I watched as the of account officer moved to take his seat.  "I don't remember inviting you to have your seat." I said, clasping my fingers together, and he paused, raising his eyes to look at the others before standing up straight.  "Oh, I apologize, I thought..."  "You thought what? That I called in here for a high school reunion, or to congratulate you for coming to work late?" I asked as he stepped back to stand beside the others.  "I am sure, you all received the broadcast message over the weekend about today's meeting and then you choose today to come late? Who knows if this is how you always come late to work, is this ho...."  "Excuse me, madam, I was on my annual leave and I just flew back in this morning because my flight was delayed." The account officer said, cutting me off. And my face hardened as I focused my attention on him.  "What's your name?" I asked, and he turned to look at the other two. "Me?" He questioned, pointing to himself.  "You wouldn't want me to repeat myself." I caution in a harsh tone.  "I am Ferdinad. Leo Ferdinad." He answered and I nod.  "Mr. Leo, you are the account officer, aren't you?" I questioned, and he nods.  "Listen to this once because I won't repeat myself, the next time I am talking and you dare cut me off mid-sentence. Be ready to kiss your job goodbye, I don't know what backtrack the HR has been doing, that makes you think simply because you were on leave you can show up at work any time you like. When did you leave end?" I questioned. "On Friday."  "What is today, Mr. Leo?"  "Monday Ma."  "Great, today is Monday, did you not know you were to resume work 8:30 am today?" I asked, and he nods. "You were aware, you had Friday to book your flight, then fly back on Saturday or late night Sunday. Here, let me guess, you booked the midnight flight for Monday, didn't you?" I asked, and he nods. "Every other work leave you have for the rest of this year is cancelled, you either deal with it or look for job else. I would condone no one who treats their work like a playground, let this be a warning to you. Henceforth, I have my eyes on you, I've gone through your work history before you came and I can see you the type who treats other people's business like it doesn't matter. Coming to work when you like, submitting uneven account and messing up the numbers. If you are not competent for your position or you are tired of working here, let me know, so I can find a replacement. One mistake from you at the end of this month's report, just kiss your seat goodbye. Now get yourself out of my office." I snapped in a low voice.  "I apologise Ma, I swear I take my job seriously, and I promise it won't happen again." He blabbered even after I dismissed.  "Mr. Leo, I remember telling you to leave my office, or should I have the security escort you out of this building?" I asked, raising my eyebrow and he shakes his head before rushing out the door.  I heard the other two staff gulped as I turned to them.  "Mrs Milan, is there a reason you were absent from the meeting?" I asked, turning to the chief transport officer who look to be in her forty's. "We've been expecting some delivery from our motor part affiliates since last week and they failed to meet up with the deadline. The engineers need some of those parts for repair before today's sales distributing so I stopped at their office before coming to work. I apologise for coming in late." The woman said, and I sighed.  "I'll check with them to confirm your story next time, please report to the HR department before deciding on that. At least let them know why you would resume late, anyway did you sort the problem with them?" I asked, and she shakes her head.  "They promise to deliver mid day." She replied. "I'll have my secretary look into that, have they always been this tardy with schedule?" I asked, and she nods. "More times than I can count, on most occasion, I have to reach purchase the items elsewhere just so we can meet up with sales delivery." She answered, and I frowned.  "Give me a minute." I said, dialing my secretary line.  [Hello Ma, what can I help you with?]  [I want you to look into one of our affiliates, the ones who supply motor parts, how well they've delivered on schedule and get back to me. Also let me know other potential candidates we can work with for replacement.] I instruct. [I'll get on that right away.]  [Thank you.] I pressed the end button before turning to Mrs. Milan.  "You can go back to work, let me know if they deliver as promised today." I tell her. She nods, saying thank you before she walks out.  "It says here, that you called in sick on Friday." I said to the other guy from accounting who looked to be in his early thirties.  "Yes Ma, I did." He answered in a croaky voice, and I eyed him.  "It seems most of you in the account department have a thing for missing work and coming late. I can see a multiple request for calling in sick in your work report. Tomorrow, come with your doctor's report, and I want it on my desk before 9:00 am. You can go." I said, without sparing him another glance.  "Thank you, ma." He muttered before stepping out and I hissed. I might need to weed out half the people working in the account department at this rate and they are mostly men, those scums.  I leaned away from my laptop, to take a breather, before opening my email and the file my secretary sent popped up. I opened the folder, scanning through the staffs in the department, I remember seeing sales department on the ID of that jerk this morning.  However, I am almost at the end of this folder and his name still hasn't popped off, did he lie to me? He wouldn't have he looked serious about working here and he even told me to ask the security men, which means they know him well.  My eyebrows crunched together as I saw his photo second to the last, the glasses in the picture gave him away and I clicked on his profile.  Rehan Varga, male, 25-years-old college student. I paused from reading his profile when I saw that one information. How is he 25 and still a college student? Perhaps he started late, but how did he get employed here if he wasn't even a graduate? I read further through the profile and I realised he's been working here since he was nineteen? What in christ name! That's six years, he's been working here for the past six years? That has to be before he became a college student, which explains how he is still working here and why is an office assistance, at twenty-five. I skimmed through his work history, looking for anything that could point him out as badly. Just something I could hold against him, but I found nothing.  I scrolled to the bottom of the page and I couldn't help the smile on my face on seeing his picture from six years ago. He is cute, or perhaps he was cute, I don't think I like him as an adult right now.  Somehow staring at the nineteen-year-old him, had my mind springing up this morning's incidence and his di'ck flashed in my mind. I shake my head lightly, closing the file and I sighed, I guess this is just a side effect of being celibate, that has to be why my mind keep bringing back images of his di'ck. I shouldn't think about his di'ck, I hate him, but he is blessed and if you remove his nasty attitude, he is kinda cute.  I have to stop thinking about him, before it becomes something else, his di'ck isn't my business, neither is he my business. I closed my eyes, trying to take in deep breaths, but my mind seem to have dirty tricks of its own as images of Rehan's di'ck came back up again. This time with nasty pictures of what it could do.  "Blood hell Kimora!!! Get a grip." I exclaimed, scolding myself as I stood up from my office chair, I think I need some air or go outside to touch grass need to snap back to reality.  "Do you need anything?" My secretary asked as I stepped out of the office.  "No, I'll just step out for a bit." I replied, before walking out of the office space. Instead of taking the elevator, I took the stairs, I'll just climb down and stop when I get tired, then take the elevator back up.  I ended up taking the elevator after walking two floors and I rode it down to the first floor, I'll just stand somewhere close to the window in the lobby to unwind.  As I stepped out of the elevator, my ears caught on the screams of someone and I turned looking through the hallway.  At the other end, stood a staff member, I don't know what departments she is but from the way she was yelling at the other person; I guess she is one of the major staff. Still, I don't think it's appropriate to just yell like that, in the middle of the hallway.  Somehow, I watched the scene unfold, and I frowned as she hit the person with the files in her hand, isn't that too harsh.  "I apologise, I didn't know the photocopy machine stopped working, I'll do it all over again." The person being yelled on said, and my brows furrowed at the voice. Isn't that Rehan?  "You are always giving one excuse or the other, I don't know how they still let you work here with how clumsy you are." The young lady snapped at him before shoving the files into his chest and he stumbled backwards, which caused everything in his hands to scatter all over the floor.  She didn't even stop to help him before walking away; I watched as his eyes lingered on her retreating figure before sighing. He shook his head and bent down, picking up the files, he raised his head and our eyes met but he looked away immediately. I don't know what that was about, but somehow I don't like what I just witnessed.  I know I can be rude myself and I have a bad temper, but that was too much and the look on his face when our eyes met. It's as if he's used to being treated like that, even as I walked away an odd feeling settled in my stomach as his face flashed in my mind. There is something about him that keeps sticking with me, and I should mind my business, however a part of me wants to know more about him.
