Though Debbie and I had spent time catching up the last time I visited her, it still felt weird to be going to a spa with her. It felt different hanging out with her as an adult, when I used to hang out with her family when I was in my younger years.
I was glad that we didn’t talk that much during the spa, which consisted of body scrub, full body massage, facial, and nail care - manicure and pedicure. Our set included a free lunch set which was delivered to our room.
“Jace had been doing very well in his business. I never thought he would be this successful,” Debbie said while we ate our meal. “That boy surprises us once more.”
