“Are you okay?” Jace asked worriedly as I got out of the back door. He was probably on his way to the house.
“I am.” I smiled shyly but did not look at him. My heart beat suddenly shifted and seemed to purr at the sight of him. His presence overwhelmed me. I still could not get used to seeing him half-naked, loving the art he had created - his body and the tattoos on his body. Tattoos used to be a no-no for me, but I was learning to appreciate them.
“I should have not asked that,” Jace pulled me into his arms. “I know you are not okay, but please let me know how I can put you at ease. Did he come to you? Did he talk to you?”
