((5)) Forever Be My Type!!!

1641 Words
Home is a walking distance from the restaurant. But I wish Emil gave us a ride home. That would have saved us the hustle. Kimberly walks me home though she lives in a condo a bit far from my house. She'll have to get an uber after we get to my house. "You shouldn't have sold your car!" I grumble. "Now look at the pain and suffering we are going through." "You shouldn't have made Emil mad. He's always our ride home!" I huff. "I still don't get why Emil was mad though. It's not like I was flirting with -" "Oh baby! You know that I know that you know you were blatantly flirting with Ansel! You were literally blushing like some teenager as you guys talked!" "That's a lie! I was NOT flirting!" I blurt. "And even if I was, what does he care! What the f**k is his problem if I flirt with Ansel or any other guy whatsoever!" "His problem is the feelings he has for you! The feelings you pretend not to notice because you don't want to spoil the friendship!" I heave a sigh. "I honestly thought that his feelings for me would just fade away with time if I friend-zone him and make it clear I just want to be friends, you know!" "Well well! Can we take a moment of silence to laugh!" she laughs. "You friend-zone a guy hoping his feelings will fade away with time? That's called leading him on, which is selfish!" "Selfish?" "Yes, selfish. Because he kinda hopes you'll move him to another zone but you just lead him on and he stays in the same spot. Then comes Ansel and you're allover him, flirting with him and-" "I was not flirting with him!" I stop on the sidewalk. "Can you guys just stop it! Maybe Ansel was flirting with me but I was not flirting with him. And another thing, I was not all over him. What do you mean I was all over him?" "A defensive person is a guilty person." "f**k you Kimberly!" "You're horrible in bed. Keep your p***y!" I shrug and chuckle. "But anyways babes," I groan. "I really don't know what to do about Emil. Should I continue being friends with him? Or will that be leading him on even more? God! You know just how much I love Emil. I would hate it if we stop being friends!" Kim rolls her eyes. "You would hate it even more if he ends up hating you for leading him on!" "Tell me what to do!" "Ummm… Get off the road!" I was standing so near the road. I get back on the sidewalk. "I don't know what to tell you, Ari," says Kim. "But if it was me in that situation, I would tell him everything like it is. Make sure he understands that you don't have any feelings whatsoever for him. Make it clear that the friendship is just friendship and nothing more and will never be anything more. Whatever he does after that is up to him. " " Won't that be a little… Painful for him. " " The truth is painful. But not as painful as someone leading you on… " Kim says with a tone of bitterness. Coincidentally, we see James and Jenna from a distance, holding hands and laughing as they eat icecream. " I feel something in my stomach! " Kim snorts in disgust the moment she sees the couple. " Let me guess. You feel like puking? " " Vomiting." " Same thing." "Vomitting sounds more disgusting. And those two are just as disgusting as the word 'vomiting'. Now, I need to vomit. Let's go look for a street bin before these two get even closer and my stomach problem worsens." Before we can turn to hide from the couple, Jenna calls loudly. "Hey Ari! Kimmie!" Kim fakes a smile. "Hey cousin!" "Hey Jennie." "Jenna," she corrects me. "Kylie Jenner would be offended," Kim jokes. I laugh scornfully. "It's good that I ran into you guys!" Jenna giggles. "James and I are throwing an engagement party. We hope you two will come." Silence. I glare at the diamond ring on her finger. So James proposed, huh! When he was with Kim, he used to say he has this phobia for marriage. Jenna must have done the magic. I wonder what changed? What she might have done to change his mind. Kim fakes a smile, pain in her eyes. " I'm happy for you guys! " " We are happy for us too! " Jenna shrieks in excitement. "But we'll be happier if you guys make it to the engagement party!" Kim is fed up. She bolts past them, walking faster. "It's a shame that you did this to Kim in the end, James! She loved you more than Jennie here ever will!" "Ari you don't -" I don't listen to his dumb excuses. I follow my friend quickly but before I can even catch up with her, she's already boarded on the taxi. She obviously wants to be alone. She'll go to her house, fall on her bed and burst into tears. I just can't imagine being with someone for so long then have the person always say how they can't do certain things. And then they meet someone who they do these things for without even being pushed or forced. That's painful. Sad. James and Kim were really inlove. They were literally couple goals. They had issues but they always worked on them until Jenna came… And then James suddenly started claiming he and Kim were just friends… All this time he had been leading Kim on… Was that the same case with Emil and I? Would I start a relationship with Ansel and leave Emil feeling like I had been leading him on all this time? I roll my eyes at my stupid thoughts! As If Ansel would ever date a random girl like me! And even if he would, I would never date a guy like Ansel… Once upon a time, when I was really young, I fell inlove with a beautiful boy with smiling eyes… That boy will FOREVER be my type. Forever! ¦¦¦¦ Dinner is always fun with all my family members at the dining table. Mom and dad are talking at the corner of the table, laughing at something he whispered in her ear. My brother, Luke, is sitting beside me feeding his little three-year-old daughter, Dawn. She's the cutest little thing. She has Luke's blue eyes and her mom's long ebony hair and chubby cheeks. Perfect combo! Luke hits his daughter's hand lightly. "Open your mouth, Dawnie! Open your mouth wide and eat now!" She does as her dad tells her, fear in her eyes. She's scared of being caned. Stephanie, my sister-in-law, is trying her best to feed her son, Duke, chicken soup. But he's so stubborn yet so adorable. He sneaks out of his mom's hands and runs upstairs. Steph groans as she follows him. "Duke! Come back here!" "That boy is as mischievous as you, Luke. Like father like son!" Sometimes it's hard to believe Dawn and Duke are twins because they are both so different in character and even appearance. Dawn is the spitting image of Stephanie. Duke is the spitting image of Luke. He chuckles. "That boy outdoes me in everything dude! I hand over the crown of mischief to him now. He's king now." He goes back to feeding his daughter as he laughs and tells some very silly stories to her. Everybody at the dinner table is happy. Not that I'm not happy. Having family dinners brings me complete bliss but I can't stop thinking about Kim and James and Jenna and the engagement party. God! Kim must feeling like s**t right now. I'm sure she's drinking herself stupid. I kinda feel like a bad friend… But hey! She jumped in the taxi before she could even say goodbye. That was her telling me she wanted some 'alone' time. I text her for the millionth time but she doesn't respond to my text. She's not picking my calls. "Hey! Is everything okay? You look worried," Luke says. "Yea! Yea! It's just school and everything!" I shrug and put the phone away. "But I'm perfectly fine." "You're my little sister. I know when you're not fine. And now, you're not fine." "I'm okay. Trust me," I insist. "Or is it because of Samantha. I heard she kicked you out last night because you f****d up a deal?" "That's what she said?" "Yeah… That you f****d up a deal with that famous actor and -" "We solved that. Everything is fine now," I'm quick to say. "I'm so proud of you by the way, Ari. I can't believe you're out here doing all these big things and achieving so much." "It's all thanks to Sam. She's tough on me but she has done so much for me. She's a demonic angel!" He laughs. "I agree with you on that." The entrance door busts open and Samantha scampers inside in her black pantsuits and heels, carrying an expensive red bag, with her hair tied up in a neat bun. She's always had this power to command attention and a little fear when she enters a room. I don't know… Maybe it's just me… "Good evening everyone!" Everyone responds but she doesn't really focus on them. Her eyes are set on me. She has this wide grin on her face as she comes to sit right next to me. She even pecks me on the forehead. "Dear Client," she starts in excitement. "I have some WONDERFUL NEWS for you!" "What?" "YOU'RE GOING TO BE BACK IN THE MOVIE WITH ANSEL ROCK!" Then she adds, "He called and said he only wants you to take back that role!" ¦¦¦¦
