Ella looked around as Jamie went to her bedroom to change into more comfortable clothes. Technically, her “studio” is the whole of her living room, in her tiny apartment. She’d pushed all the furniture into one side so she’ll have the most space.
“Sorry about the smell. I’m already used to it, but I’m sure it’s different for you.” Jamie rummaged through a desk drawer and pulled out her box of disposable face masks.
“Want one?”
Ella didn’t decline and wore one. The smell of paints and whatever else she’s using is overwhelming her sense of smell.
She knew Jamie usually sells small-sized frames so the big-sized ones must be what she’s working on for commission.
“Can I look?” The frames are stacked next to each other so she can only see one.
“Sure. They’re already dry.” Jamie start
