“Aww Sum, you are such a life saver, you know that.” I grinned at her as we pulled up at my brother’s house, how I had managed to convince her to come with me to his BBQ, I have no idea. She avoided my family get-togethers at all expenses. But I needed her here, and she must have sensed that.
