6 TERESA’S STORYAs she was getting dressed for breakfast the following morning, Daisy was thinking about the night before and how to best handle the situation. She didn’t yet know whether the man she had hit had fully recovered or not, but she knew that Tony would have to report the incident to her father. She also realised that it would be awkward for him to bring the subject up, because it would mean admitting that Tony had told on her.
She concluded that the best thing to do, would be to admit it to him as soon as possible. She didn’t mind doing that. People would realise that she had simply made a mistake, lashed out, and would be grateful for her honesty. ‘At least, I hope they will’, she thought.
