"Are you okay?" Noah asked. He was about to let go but Nox hugs him tightly. Noah blushed when he started drawing circles at his back.
"Are you worried about me?" Nox asked. This time, Noah let go and stared at him. Of course, he was worried to death! Even if Nox was the strongest, he was still a part human who could have easily got hurt.
"I am," he whispered. When Nox rushed of earlier to fight rogues, he was controlling himself to calm down. Alex was with him the whole time and assured him that it will be alright.
Nox smiled and touched his mate's cheek. It made him happy knowing that Noah cared for him.
"I'm okay," Nox said, but he remembered the scene and the scent of blood that clung to him.
