Denver pulled Sapphire close for a dance. "Your dad is also dancing. I never knew he could," he chuckled in her ear. Sapphire glared at him.
"Of course, he can. He can do many things that you cannot. So don't even compare," she retorted. Denver held up his hands in surrender. He learned an important lesson just now. Never make fun of your father-in-law. You'll end up in a soup.
"Okay baby, I take back my words. Happy? Are we still marrying?" he asked with a faint smile. Sapphire rolled her eyes.
"I'll think about it," said Sapphire, smiling too. They danced freely right in front of her dad's nose and no one said a word to them. Daxton and Estella danced and laughed, and Denver felt he was hiding something from him. The last two days, he looked better and more hopeful.
