CHAPTER FIVE LOGAN As soon as I see a message pop up from Kayla, I read it immediately. And then I read it over and over again because I’m not sure I can trust my eyes. The scenarios that rippled through my mind were preparing me to lose Kayla forever. She woke up to a stranger, and when she said she wanted to be friends, I figured she was just throwing me a bone because she could see the pathetic look all over my face.
