They very much preferred each other's company than having to make small talks with others. But it wasn't possible to be alone for a long time when they were the hosts. The few minutes they had alone were fun.
Samirah was smiling the widest and talking to Kian when she heard someone talking nearby.
"Silver creek's Alpha died last week, did you hear?"
"I did. His eldest son hasn't taken up the Alpha title yet. It's been a week already, what's stopping him?" Someone else asked.
"Who knows. That pack had a good reputation in the past but ever since Alpha Jordan's pure mate died, their reputation has been falling consistently. I think even the eldest son doesn't want the pot on his head."
"I heard the luna commited suicide? Didn't she leave a son before death? Is that the eldest son?"
