The chamber of the Mistress was quiet the moment Emil transported them to the Fortress. Nakita niya ang pawis na tumakas sa sentido ni Emil nang makatapak na sa pamilyar na sahig. Turns out, transporting through the shadows is not as easy when you're carrying two people. Iyon ang nangyari kay Emil. Apparently, the fortress couldn't be infiltrated using door magic.
Napatingin kami sa madilim na kama. Looking at it, it looked like an endless chasm. The four-poster bed was draped with dark cloth surrounding the whole bed. Kaya naman hindi nila makita ang nasa loob nito. The sheets on the bed made a sound, a sign that the Mistress has moved. Unang nakita niya ang maputla nitong paa na tumapak sa sahig. Compared to the dark texture of the floor, her bare feet were almost shining.
