Mistaken Wedding

Chapter 2

Axel's POV

“If anyone here thinks these two should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace.” the priest said looking around the people inside the church.

I only looked at the girl next to me, I gently squeeze and kiss her hand. You are my only love, I will never replace you. I saw her smile because of what I did, seeing her lovely smile, it makes me smile too. She's so beautiful in her white gown, I want to kiss her right now and hug her tight.

I can't wait to finish this ceremony and be with my wife. It took me so long to convince Blair to marry me, she wants to pursue her career, she said we need to focus to be successful. She wants to be an actress, she needs time. but I promise her that she will achieve it, with me. There's nothing hard if I'm here to help her. So I will be with her even if she says I need to focus on my fathers business.

The priest was about to continue speaking when suddenly…

“I object!” someone from nowhere shouted. My eyes widdened and my forehead creased.

I looked at the girl who dared interrupt my wedding. I was amused, she's wearing a stunning red dress with pink high heels, she's sexy on her red lipstick. Her eyes glows because of the bright light.

She looks kinda innocent but her outfit makes her look fierce. Her face is not familiar to me, I'm one hundred percent sure that I haven't seen her before, she doesn't look invited either because her dress doesn't fit the theme of our wedding. Everything here is white and gold color.

Muling kumunot ang noo ko. Now that I think about it, who is this girl?

And did she really just objected?

Before I could turn my head to my girl, I already received a slap on my left cheek. Rinig sa buong simbahan kung gaano kalakas ang sampal nya. Ramdam ko ang matinding galit at gigil.

Natulala ako sa kinatatayuan ko.

That slap hurts so bad, but what she did next broke me.

Umalis sya, she left me in this altar. Sandali akong napapikit dahil sa sampal nya, nang matauhan ako ay agad ko syang sinundan, leaving all the guest with confuse look. I don't care what they think, I need to explain.

Sumakay sya sa kotse nya at nag maneho mag-isa. She has a driver, she shouldn't be driving alone.

I went to my car and drove to her place, she drove really fast that's why I didn't catch up to her. Nanguna na sya. When I arrived all I did is to look for her. Malaki ang bahay nila, I'm gonna first check her room. Agad akong umakyat sa hagdan, nakita ko din syang paakyat na.

Hinabol ko sya. Pawis na pawis ako, kahit naka on naman ang aircon nila.

“Blair! Blair!” I called her.

But she just keeps on walking, I grabbed her arm and again she gave me a slap, this time on my right cheek. Siguradong namumula na ang mukha ko, pero titiisin ko ang mga sampal nya. I just want for the two of us to talk.

My eyes gaze at her.

I saw her crying. f**k! My girl is crying.

“Baby listen to m–” she cut me off.

“Shut up Axel!” she shouted, full of raged with tears flowing down her cheeks.

My heart broke into pieces, nawala ang maganda nyang ngiti kanina. Puno na ng luha ang kanyang mga mata, I felt bad even know I didn't do anything wrong.

“Blair.” I whispered her name.

Just please listen. Baby I'm gonna explain, please.

“Kala ko nag bago kana. You're still the same person Axel!” she cried none stop, humagulgul sya sa harapan ko. I tried to reach her hands.

Bady, I already changed.

I tried to touch her but she moved away.

No. Don't do this to me.

“Kala ko… kala ko hindi kana mang bababae!” she said out of breath. Napapikit ako at napa-iling.

Damn! listen to me.

“It's not what you think, Blair listen to me.” I tried to make her listen but she just shook her head.

Wag sana mangyare ang naiisip ko.

“Ano pa bang paniniwalaan ko sayo Axel, ha! ano paba?!” she almost fainted, sinalo ko sya pero tinulak nya ko.

Kitang-kita ko ang galit nya, my Baby is really mad. Ngayon ko lang sya nakitang ganto. She never shouted at me like this. We never had a serious fight like this, this is all so new to me. I can't process this clearly.

“Don't touch me.” sabi nya, agad na syang pumasok sa kwarto nya at nag kulong.

Kinatok ko sya.

“Blair I don't know that girl!” I shouted.

I feel so frustrated right now. I've been good to her, I avoided everything she dislike because I know she's the only women for me. Blair said that the moment I will try to cheat on her, that will be the end of us.

And she's very true to her words.

“Go away Axel, I don't want to talk to you.” she said while sobbing.

I want to wipe her tear, I want to destroy this door so I can get in. But I cant, she'll just get mad at me even more.

“Listen to me come on baby I don't know who she is!” I shouted once again but I receive no response.

Tang ina!

Napa sabunot ako ng buhok ko, nakita kong umakyat ang parents ni Blair. Masama ang tingin nila sakin, hindi ko sila masisisi, but this is just a big misunderstanding.

“Mom, Dad I don't know that girl.” agad kong paliwanag pero dinaanan lang nila ako.

I felt like the whole word is ignoring me. I'm like a ghost to them now.

“I don't know that girl.” muli kong sabi at hinabol sila.

But they just pass through me again, like they didn't really see me.

Fucking s**t! Napaupo ako sa sofa na malapit sakin. Napahilamos ako sa mukha ko, I feel exhausted. My lips are dry, buti nalang inabutan ako ng tubig ng kasambahay nila, I thanked them.

“Axel!” my dad shouted with raged.

He followed me here.

I just close my eyes and massaged my forehead, I'm getting ready for the real trouble. I heard my dad's footsteps walking towards me, the footstep were heavy.

Nang makita nya ang pagod kong kalagayan ay bumagal ang lakad nya.

“What was that? Who's that women?” he asked in total confusion. Medyo kumalma nadin sya.

I felt relief. I thought he'll punch me, like he always do.

“I don't know.” sagot ko habang nakayuko. I damn don't know who she is.

“This is a big scandal, what you did is a disaster. All our business partners saw what happened,” he said and shook his head.

King ina! wala akong ginawa, wala akong ka alam-alam sa nangyare.

“Dad believe me I don't know who the f**k is that girl.” I said angrily.

“Please Dad kahit ikaw nalang, please believe me.” pagmamakaawa ko sakanya, his expression soften.

“Why did she object then?” pag-dududa nya, but good thing he's calmed down.

Muli akong umiling, tang ina hindi ko nga sya kilala pano ko malalaman.

“Okay, you better fix this Axel.” I answered a yes, I will definitely fix this.

I don't want to lose Blair. She is the love of my life. Naramdaman ko ang kamay ni dad sa balikat ko, tiningala ko sya.

“I trust you.” after saying that he left, I felt good after hearing that. I made many mistakes in the past but he still believed in me.

But still Blair didn't believe me.

Padabog akong tumayo at nilisan ang bahay nila Blair.

I need some fresh air. I drove to a place where I can talk to someone. Someone I trust.

Dugs dugs dugs

I sat near the bar counter. Walang masyadong tao dito sa umaga.

“Axel dude?” narinig kong tawag ng kaibigan kong si Luke.

He's the owner of this bar. Walang kabuhay-buhay ko lang syang tinignan. If I were in a good mood I would have greeted him back. I sighed.

“What are you? a ranaway Groom?” he joked while looking at me from head to toe.

I'm still f*****g wearing my f*****g suit, damn it. Niluwagan ko ang neck tie ko at tinaas ang sleeves.

“Give me a Black Russian.” I said ignoring his words.

He did what I said, after preparing, he then placed the drink infront of me, I quickly drank it all. Nalasahan ko ang pait na gumuhit sa lalamunan ko. Matunog ang naging pag bababa ko ng baso, halos mabasag din ito sa higpit nang hawak ko.

“Take it easy.” he refilled my drink.

“I apologies, I didn't get to come to your wedding, I was busy.” I nodded, it's okay tho, nothing special happened.

We didn't sealed our vows with a kiss. I don't think we'll ever solve this problem, knowing Blair, she's totally broke. But I'm broke too? Can I just explain myself? Can she just hear me out for a minute? Is that really hard to give? I just need to explain.

She got carried away. Maybe I should just let it pass for now.

“The wedding was f****d up.” I drank again.

He stopped and stared at me. I just drank again and again.

“What happened?” he asked putting down the shaker.

He wiped his hands and gave me attention.

“Some girl appeared out of nowhere and ruined my wedding.” I said. Remembering the scene makes me sick.

Did she do that on purpose or she came inside a wrong church?

“She shouted, I object. Tsk!” pailing-iling na sabi ko.

Why did that even happened? Is this my karma for playing with girls? But I stopped years ago. I only want Blair and no one else.

“Maybe one of your fans?” he guessed.

“I don't know and I don't want to know who she is, baka makasakit ako ng babae nang wala sa oras.” muli akong uminom.

This day is just f****d up. Pinatigil nya nako sa pag inom kasi baka daw malasing ako, I just agreed even know I still want to drink.

“Blair don't want to talk to me, even her parents. I tried to make her calm, so I can explain to her that I'm not cheating but she just push me away.” I said to him.

“That's hard dude, walang mangyayare pag di sya nakinig sayo. Sure madami kanang na date na mga babae at papalit-palit kapa, pero sakanya ka lang nag seryoso. I know you really love her and for the record, she's your first girlfriend since you're not fond of having a serious relationship.” tumango-tango ako.

He's right I dated many womens in the past, but because of Blair I found a real relationship.

“Did you try harder?” he asked.

“Yun nga eh, paulit-ulit ko nang sinabi na hindi ko kilala yung babaeng yon.” I sighed.

Humalumbaba ako sa lamesa at tumulala. I stared blankly at the mini stage here in his bar. I remembered Blair's beautiful smile when she walked down the aisle. Bumuntong hininga ako, I was suppose to be the happiest man today.

Dapat masaya kami ngayon.

“Dude.” tawag sakin ni Luke.

Mabagal ko syang nilingon. He's close to my face and I saw how he pity me, I push his face away. He look stupid.

“Don't look at me like that dude.” I said. He laugh a little.

“You have a f****d up wedding indeed. Ano nang gagawin mo ngayon?” I lowered my head because I'm still thinking of what am I going to do.

“I guess I let it pass for now.” yun nalang ang nasabi ko.

“You shouldn't be here you know,” I just shrugged my shoulders.

“I just want some fresh air,” I said to him.

“I advice you to get going, be in Blair's side even know she doesn't want to talk to you, just be there.” he said and left the counter.

Sandali syang nagasikaso sa ilang mga customers nya. Naiwan lang muna ako sa counter at nag muni-muni.

I miss Blair now. Ilang oras ko palang syang di nakakasama pero parang dumating na nang ilang araw. Luke came back and made the drinks for his customers. Narinig namin ang pag bukas ng pinto, means another customer arrived.

“Hey Luke mix me another drink before I leave.” I requested, he nodded.

“Sure, I just hope you'll fix your issue with Blair.” he said.

I watched him mix my drink, it was very satisfying how he tossed those bottles into the air.

“I will fix it.” I said, not so sure, but I will.

I drank my last drink and stood up. I was about to leave when I notice a women pointing her finger at me. My eyes narrowed at her, then I started to recognize her.

She's still in her red dress.

“That's her.” I whispered.

“Wait what did you say?” palagay ko narinig ni Luke ang sinabi ko.

“That's the girl.” I repeated.

I ignored Luke who keep calling me and walk straight to the women. I saw her reaction, she's scared. I'm not gonna hurt her.
