Chloe's POV
I still have more than one hour to prepare for my date with Clifford.
"Madam, your outfit for today is ready. You can choose from the ten sets." Ella's fashion designer said as she bowed down.
"Thank you, ma'am." I also bowed down in front of her. She suddenly looked at me as if very confused. I also noticed she pinched her arm.
"Oh, no, no madam Ella. Please do not thank me, don't call me ma'am, too."
"Huh? Why not?"
"It's not ethically accurate to greet some ordinary employee." She politely answered. She's not even looking at me directly on my eyes.
"It's nonsense."
"No. What I am saying is true. You are paying for our services. I also agreed to sign a contract from you about it."
"Okay, fine. But please allow me to simply thank you sometimes for a job well done."
