They completely erased me. There was not a single photo or knickknack in the house that indicated they ever had a daughter. They erased me from their lives completely.
Calder drove and I stared blankly out the window trying to process everything my dad just admitted. They knew and never told me about any of this. How did they think I would be sheltered from it completely if they just washed their hands of me? And my father wanted Calder to reject me completely. He was telling the person who is supposed to be my soul mate to run away and forget about me. Calder said rejection can easily kill a werewolf. He equated it to broken heart syndrome that elderly people can pass away from when their spouses pass away. My father was telling Calder to leave even if it killed me.
