I sit leaning against Jordan’s warm body as Jasmine sits across the fire, glaring at the both of us. I ignore her icy gaze and tear off my boots. My toes are finally getting some feeling back into them. I set them close to the fire and hope they dry off at least a little before sunrise. Perhaps it is time for me to try and buy a better pair. Jasmine follows my lead and does the same, however, she shivers against the cold air. I had offered her a place beside Jordan but she had refused.
