Things are different after that. Less strained in some ways, more strained in others.
Annalise recognizes herself to be the problem now. She notes thankfully that Jacob is much more relaxed around her again. It's still not quite as easy as before, but at least there isn't any of that tension anymore, trying to suffocate them both when they're together.
Now, she is just uncertain. Uncertain how they feel, uncertain how she feels, uncertain of every little thing in her life.
It's a feeling she can't stand and that feeling is quickly getting the better of her.
She has felt the looks they've both been giving her. They can tell something is different with her, that something has changed. Her efforts to act as if nothing had changed are not paying off, apparently.
