I Curse You

~ Draven's POV ~

“I curse you, Draven Spencer! Today, I begged you to spare my husband’s life, but there will come a day when you will plead in the same manner in front of others.

You may become the king of the Alphas and all the other packs, but you will never feel content. Even you will shed the same tears as me when you will lose your mate.

There will surely come a day when you will regret your actions, but it will be too late for redemption.

I, Marion, the Luna of the Eclipse Pack, curse you, Draven Spencer, the Alpha of the blood moon pack that even if you will find the mate of yours, you still won’t be able to be together with her”, the annoying woman continued to sob while glancing at her husband’s dead body which was lying on the floor.

Does she seriously believe that I will give a damn about her curse? 

I mean, why would I? 

This is more like a boon to me than a curse. 

I only placed one leg over the other whilst I made myself comfortable on the Alpha’s chair of the Eclipse Pack.

The woman continuously cried over her dead mate while she was glaring at me with eyes filled with rage.

Shouldn’t she feel happy that I am kind enough to her life even though I hate to deal with the weak things the most?

“Stop crying over the dead. It’s not like he will come back to life with your tears, right?

Here, take this cheque and begin a new life with this money or you can choose to serve me and my pack members on the bed if you like it.

As for your words, like redemption and regret that’s something which is not in the Draven Spencer's dictionary.

This pack now belongs to me and soon, I will conquer all the other packs”, I declared in a calm voice while I glanced at her with a smirk on my face. 

Well, I am giving her an option and that should be enough for her, right? 

I don’t believe in fate and neither in the so-called mate thing.

The special bond which they all preach about is something that makes me feel nauseous. I hate it when someone plays with me or tries to use me as a pawn.

They say that it’s the blessing of the moon goddess if we can find our fated mates in this life, but for me, it’s just one of her schemes which she uses to have control over us.

I like to be responsible for my own destiny. 

Love to make people weak and even they lose their mind because of this trifle emotion, they get blinded by it. 

The woman started to laugh like a madwoman.

She then got up from the floor and after that, she dashed towards my direction with a silver knife in her hand, but before she could approach me, Emmet, my Beta grabbed the foolish woman by her throat. 

Why do people love to annoy me to my core, huh? 

The so-called Luna of the pack was now trembling and wincing in pain, but the smile from her face still didn’t disappear from her face. 

“Alpha, we shouldn’t let such a woman live.

She may become dangerous for us”, asked Emmet while he tightly clenched the woman’s throat.

This woman has seriously become blinded by love. She can’t see or hear anything against her husband. 

“Do you think that I will let the likes of you end my life, huh? I am not your ordinary she-wolf. I am a witch, you stupid Alpha.

I am ready to do anything to make you regret taking my mate’s life.

You will go through the same pain which I am feeling right now, you will lose your mate the same day you will find her.

This is the curse of a witch, Draven Spencer and this curse will affect you even in your next life.

Hahaha, today I cried, but soon you will shed the same tears as me. The more you will try to run away from your fate, the more you will be pulled by fate.

Today, I am giving up on my life because of my mate, but there will be soon a day when you will do the same thing for your fated mate”, after saying those useless words to me, the woman took her own life by stabbing herself with the silver knife which she was holding in her hand.

Well, that was fast. I thought that she will beg some more, but she died by saying all those bullshit about the fated mate and all the other stuff.

I thought that she was a sensible woman, but she chose her dead husband over her bright future.

She was indeed a stupid woman. 

I only sighed and then I asked Emmet to take care of the bodies. 

He nodded while looking at me. 

“Should we find some other witch, Alpha?

I mean, she did put a curse on you and we should definitely not take this thing lightly.

Why didn’t you tell her the truth about her husband?”, Emmet asked me in a low voice, but I only looked at him with a smile on my face.

I then got up from the chair and walked in his direction. 

Emmet only glanced at the floor and I kept my hand on his shoulder. 

“She believed what she wanted to believe so, why would I waste my time by explaining all the things to her?

As for the curse, I seriously don’t give a damn. Mate or no mate, I will rule this place.

She will only become a hassle in my path of success and I can’t afford that thing to happen, right? I have waited for so long, I have fought for so long and finally, I am going to achieve my goal”, I told him in a cold voice whilst his eyes were fixated on the floor.

I don’t remember the last time when I had free time in my hands. I just want to finish everything as soon as possible so that I could finally find that girl. 

“The Alpha of the Moon Stone Pack is still adamant to give up on his pack.

He said that he is ready to fight with us and he is not afraid of the likes of you.

He not only badmouthed about you but also about our pack and your family.

We should take care of him in the cruellest manner”, Emmet exclaimed whilst he clenched his fists with a furious expression on his face. 

I don’t understand why can’t people just accept their defeat when they are aware that no one can win against me?

I thought to relax for some time, but now I have to go and pay a visit to that ignorant Alpha who is not aware of my power.

I need to make him uncomfortable that once I set my eyes on something then that thing becomes mine. 

“He is planning to throw a party as his son is returning from the training. Should I ask my people to prepare a special gift for them?

They will surely remember it till their last breath.

I just need your permission, Alpha”, Emmet asserted whilst he looked straight into my eyes.

He surely looks quite determined to finish the Moon Stone Pack. Well, I can’t take any risk at this moment.

Just like the Blood Moon Pack, they are also known to be one of the strongest packs.

I can’t simply put all the responsibilities on Emmet’s shoulders. 

The current Alpha of that pack is known to be a maniac and only I can take care of him in my own manner.

“No need. I will go and see what kind of welcoming party they are throwing for their next Alpha. I have lots of complaints about that Alpha Elliot.

I need you to take care of all the pack members, Emmet. I need to take a nice walk”, I said to him and after that, I took my leave without even listening to what he was trying to say to me. 

I know that Emmet is aware of my plans and that’s why I didn’t stop. 

If I told him that I am paying a visit to the Alpha of the Moon Stone Pack right this moment then he will surely try to do everything possible to make me stay at this place. 

I don’t know why, but for some reason, I am feeling kind of suffocating at this place.

I need some fresh air so, I decided to shape-shift in my wolf form and after that, I started to dash towards the dark forest. 

After getting deep into the forest, a sudden fragrance hit my nose.

The moment I glanced at the other side of the lake, I saw some rogues.

They were attacking a girl who was not even trying to fight back with them. 

Does she want to commit suicide? 

Why is she not shape-shifting into her wolf form? 

Well, it’s not like I care about the likes of her. 

I am still not able to see her face as her back was facing me.

She was pleading for help in her sweet voice which I can hear clearly, but no one came to rescue her from those rogues. 

I then shape-shifted back to my human form and after that, I changed into my new set of clothes which I carried with me. 

When I again glanced at the girl, she was nowhere to be found. 

Then suddenly, I saw her drowning in the lake.

She was fighting her best to swim at the other side of the lake, but she eventually failed. 

When she doesn’t know how to swim then why exactly did she jump in the lake?

Does she think that life is a fantasy and someone will come to rescue her? 

I hate those people the most who depends on others and for their help.

That just proves that a person is incapable of facing tough situations and not strong enough to protect themselves from any sort of harm that may befall them.

‘We should save her, Draven’, said Xander, my wolf. 

Save her?

‘Why should I?

It’s her problem and this is something which has nothing to do with me and nor saving her will give me any sort of benefit’, I responded to him inside my head whilst I buttoned up my shirt. 

Usually, he behaves rationally, but this is the first time when my wolf is asking me to help someone.

I don’t know what happened to me and why exactly I jumped in the lake, but when I held the arms of that girl, I just smashed my lips on hers.  

I am doing this thing just to give her oxygen and nothing else. When I took her out of the lake she was still unconscious. 

The rogues just left the place as they won’t be able to come to the other side of the lake and nor they are reckless enough to mess with me.

When I again glanced at the woman, I got lost in my own thoughts and a word escaped my mouth which was enough to make me lose my calm, “Mate.”

This can’t be happening.

Looking at her, I am certain that she is an omega and that too a useless one.

She smells like a musk rose.

It is a sweet-spicy smell resembling meadow honey, with fruity notes. I don’t know why, but her smell is enough to intoxicate me. 

I walked towards her and after that, I hovered over her by placing my hands on her side. Her wet chestnut brown hair, her trembling body and her soft lips which were saying something in an inaudible voice, everything about her is pulling me towards her.

I don’t think that I should stay here for too long.  

She is alive and that’s all.

I am not going to accept her and nor reject her.

After tucking the loose hair strand behind her ear, I got up from the cold ground.

I then left the girl all alone on the ground as I heard some footsteps which were getting closer.  

“I hope that our paths won’t cross again or else I will have to finish you off. I can’t afford to have any sort of weakness around me.

I can’t accept an omega as my mate”, I whispered in a hushed voice whilst I was glancing at the unconscious girl who was still trembling on the ground.

Even her clothes are ragged. 

I only threw my suit jacket over her and she just hugged the jacket tightly in her semi-conscious state. 

A smirk appeared on my face when I saw her.

After that, I took my leave from that place.

This is all that I can do for her.
