The more I thought about it, the worse Ember Moon’s state seemed to be, and the more likely it was that the secret was going to come out long before we had a real plan to avoid outright war. Kora might say that there was nothing secret from the wind, but that didn’t explain how much Knox had known about the way Cindra was treated. I shuddered to think how much Winter Harvest might already know. They truly thought Aspen had died in that fire. Would any reparations change if it were revealed that wasn’t the case?
