NO REST FOR THE WICKED

I'm Emmaline Rose Harper. Friends and acquaintances call me Emma or Em for short. So, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I recieved a wedding invitation from a high school friend of mine and it'll be a holiday themed wedding on a holiday month of December, actually the wedding will happen a week before Christmas eve. I'm happy for them really, even if that high school friend ended up marrying my high school ex-boyfriend, we didn't part with bitterness or heartache, it was a mutual decision after high school graduation since we both know we're going on different paths.But that doesn't mean others wouldn't gossip about us and that maybe they'll think that I'm still single to this day because I still harbor bitterness and feelings for my ex from a decade ago! Which will be crazy and not so true but who knows how weird human thoughts are. So, to prevent a non-issue thing to be an issue in the first place, I plan to get a boyfriend for the wedding and the holiday. And then I remember that guy who almost ran me over with his motorcycle just a week ago. Hmm... He still owes me and I have an idea to call it even and forgiven and forgotten. I just hope he didn't have a girlfriend yet. Who would have thought that things between us will become more complicated than I thought.
