I couldn't believe what I had just seen. If someone else had told me about it, I wouldn't have believed them. My Candi - my sweet, shy, traumatized, panicky mate - actually told her brute of a father off. I was so ridiculously proud of her. I couldn't stop telling her how proud of her I was.
"Mom, you just had to be there," I gushed. Yes, I was an eighteen year old alpha male gushing to his mother, but I couldn't help it. "She was incredible! She really told Gamma Richard off. The look on his face was priceless. And Mom, before I got there she took out a man twice her size, And she was fighting Katya like a champ when I got there.
