It happened so fast that all the people in the room thought the shooting took Phil’s life.
However, the reality was beyond their imagination. Someone appeared in front of Phil and grasped the bullet with two fingers.
They cast a concurrent look, only to find Ryan’s face.
Phil heaved a deep sigh after the narrow escape and he felt relieved with Ryan’s appearance.
“Thank God you are back. They ruined our place.”
Ryan looked around and he became annoyed with the quite extensive damage to the house. He had made strenuous efforts to renovate this place but turned it into a frightful mess.
Hart was amazed by the young man’s swiftness and he even felt a little overwhelmed. Hart wondered who he was as he had never met him before.
“Quite impressive. May I know your name?”
Ryan had an instinct that the one raising the question was Hart Turner.
“You must be Hart Tuner. I suppose you heard my name.”
Hart nodded approval and he was surprised by Ryan’s reasoning ability.
“Right. I’m Hart Turner.”
“I’m the owner of this shop, and the one who challenged you.”
Ryan had the courage to accept the consequence of his doing. Other people stood staring speechless at Ryan and they felt astonished by his words.
“Um, you are Ryan.”
Out of nowhere, Hart felt intimidated the moment he realized Ryan was standing a few steps away from him.
He had imagined Ryan as an ordinary young man who mastered some fighting skills. However, he found his imagination about Ryan was totally wrong.
How was an ordinary person able to pinch a flying bullet?
“I have to admit, what you did just now really amazed me. But you won’t get the luck again.”
Hart drew out a laser rifle from his trouser belt and aimed it at Ryan, which made Ryan a little nervous.
“You think you can kill me with that?”
Ryan found Hart’s behavior very hilarious because Hart could never hit him.
“Do you think I’m bluffing? Don't make a move or I'll shoot!”
Hart opened fire on Ryan immediately after his roaring. He had thought he would shoot Ryan dead, but things went the other way.
Ryan took every bullet with his fingers, which left all the other people dumbfounded.
How could that be even possible?
Hart had planned to shoot Ryan dead by himself, but it turned out unrealistic.
At the time, Hart’s followers all raised their pistols high and thumbed off the safety catches, aiming at Ryan.
“Fire!” At the command of Hart, they fired fiercely at Ryan that the onlookers were anxious about Ryan. However, he successfully avoided all the bullets.
Then he sprung to his feet, swung many punches, which sent these shooters down the ground.
It was beyond Hart’s expectation that all his followers together were not powerful enough to defeat Ryan.
“Anyone wants a fight?” Ryan raised his head, only to find his opponent shaking heads.
They lost the confidence to beat Ryan.
Hart had thought in the beginning that the scarred man lost to Ryan because of his incapacity. However, it turned out that Ryan was too powerful.
As a witness at the site, Phil’s admiration for Ryan hit a record high.
“Don’t come to me. If you hurt me, you are finished.”
Ryan smiled as the response to Hart’s threatening, then he walked forward and gave Hart a kick in the face.
The kick left Hart a nosebleed and two falling teeth. He was burning with rage but could do nothing about it.
“Do you still believe you could defeat me?”
Hart shook his head immediately because he knew well that he was not a competitor to Ryan.
“I’m not able to defeat you. But my mentor could.”
Ryan was curious about his mentor.
“Ask him to come and let’s battle.”
As soon as Hart heard it, he gave a mocking smile.
“You’ll regret it. He will kill you in this shop.”
And then Hart dialed Marcos’ number and the latter sounded angry and curious at the other end of the line.
“All right. I’ll be here in thirty minutes.”
Alva moved at a snail’s pace to Phil and pulled him up from the floor. Phil swallowed after standing steadily.
“Let’s wait and see. My mentor is Marcos Dias.” Hart spoke in a hearty tone.
Ryan didn’t expect Hart’s mentor was Marcos Dias, who had an undeserved reputation。
“No offense. You’d better ask him not to come, or you’ll lose face again.”
Hart gave a mocking smile as he considered Ryan too arrogant.
“Do you have any idea who my mentor is? You’ll feel dwarfed by his name.”
Hart was confident that the name of Marcos Dias could win respect all over.
“Tell me about it, please.”
Though Ryan had heard about his name, he didn’t know many stories about Marcos. After a while, Hart picked himself up.
“Marcos was the best fighter in Silver Coast city.”
Ryan found his words ridiculous and he wondered who granted Marcos the title of the best fighter.
As the minutes ticked away, Ryan felt bored. He sat down on the chair and poured a glass of water for himself. Sooner, an old man came in.
He approached in a great rage.
At the sight of Marcos, Hart felt emboldened, and he was confident that Marcos would defeat Ryan.
When Marcos looked around and caught the sight of Ryan, he grew alarmed.
He had been irritated when he heard that someone was picking on Hart, and he was determined to come to defend Hart.
But at this very moment, he couldn’t help cursing Hart.
Unluckily, Hart didn’t take any clues from Marcos’ expression and he kept speaking ill of Ryan, hoping Marcos could help to teach Ryan a lesson.
“He kicked me just now. I told him you are my mentor and he said you are nothing to him.”
Hart hoped to make Marcos take action by making an overstatement. However, Marcos stood still after a long while.
“He cursed you just now. Aren’t you mad?”
Ryan stared at Marcos and gave a cold smile. He understood well that Marcos was afraid of him.
After a moment of dead silence, Marcos turned around, slapped Hart across his face, which left Hart so shocked.
Why did Marcos hit him?
“What’s the matter? Why do you slap me?”
Hart felt helpless because his mentor was helping his opponent.
“Remember, show Mr. Jones some respect, whenever. “
All the other people felt confused because they thought Marcos was coming to give Hart a hand, not to insult him in public. Phil even began to think Marcos might have a mental problem.
It took Hart some time to understand the situation. Later, he decided to speak his mind out.
“What do you mean? You are making me confused.”
Hart’s words turned Marcos furious that he couldn’t help giving Hart a hard kick on his chest.
It had been years since Marcos got so angry last time. Hart suddenly realized that Marcos could have some contact with Ryan.
“Stop talking nonsense. Get out now!”
Though Hart didn’t really know about the situation, he obeyed Marcos’ order and was about to leave.
Ryan’s face creased into a smile. You can’t just come and go as you like. He thought to himself.
“You should ask if I was willing to let you leave.”
Marcos was sweating when Ryan spoke. He knew that Hart was doomed. To ease the tension, Hart turned around and made an apology, “I’m sorry, Mr. Jones.”
Ryan was surprised by the abrupt change in Hart’s attitude. Anyway, he made up his mind to punish Hart.
“I won’t let you leave today.”
Then he walked up to Hart with his hands clenched in fists, which made Hart really nervous.
A moment later, he held Hart’s waist and tore his body apart. An audible gasp went around in the wake of the horrible scene.
Heavy blood splattered in the air while the incomplete body slid down to the ground.
Marcos felt helpless, though furious. He was not able to defeat Ryan.
It was nobody’s fault but Hart’s own. Things would be different if he had listened to Marcos.
Given that Marcos had made the right decision, Ryan decided to forgive him. He walked back to Marcos and patted him on the shoulders.
“Luckily you didn’t offend me just now. Otherwise, you will have a more horrible death.”
Marcos shuddered at the idea of being torn apart, and he was fully aware that Ryan could take his life at any time.
“You can leave if you swear to be at my disposal.”
Ryan’s request surprised all. How could he threaten an old man?
Despite his talents, many of the onlookers felt repugnance to him when he was being so arrogant and rude.
