Chapter 25 - impulsive thoughts and actions
As soon as I'm out and in front of the building, I reach for my phone in the insides of my pocket to call an Uber, however a taxi happened to just drop someone on the other side of the road so an impulsive thought strikes me.
"Where to ma'am?"
"Oh, just call me Mia," I say as I close the door shut and wear a seatbelt.
"All set", I whisper, but the driver seems to have sharp ears as he chuckles. I also happen to notice his gaze on me through the rear view mirror and with no thoughts at all, I look up, meet his gaze and stick my tongue out.
This time, he's full blown laughing, making me pout until I rethink it and join him.
I mean what is the essence of keeping a frowning face when I can smile and even laugh at everything?
