"Alright folks, we are ready to start Fantasy’s annual team regional match. Whether you’re in your pajamas, watching from home or you’re listening to the radio in your car. One thing is certain, this match is going to be the best entertainment this year. So buckle up, place your bets and get some popcorn, it’s going to be a bumpy ride,” the commentator for the match in real life announced. Heather’s mouth twisted in a crooked smile as he watched from his office. In the game, players had been placed in the forest. Green light team was placed in a corner of the forest, ready to fight. Walt crouched on the floor with the rest of his teammates surrounding him. He held out their card and tapped it once so that it projected the map of the forest. Red dots blipped all over it, revealing the locations of all the other cards and one blue dot blipped which showed their location. “Wow, that’s one, two…a lot, that’s a lot of cards,” Jenny said. Walt placed his hand on his chin and thought for a minute. Planning for this competition had been difficult because they could not choose where they would be placed and had no idea where their opponents will be until the game starts. “Okay, we’re here,” Walt said and pointed to the blue dot “the nearest players are here, so we should attack them,” “Full-on the attack? Or strategic?” Michael asked. “Strategic, I think,” “YOU THINK?” Miranda screamed. “Yes, I think!” he yelled back then sighed “this is a lot of pressure alright?” he slouched his shoulders causing the rest of them to raise their eyebrows and look at each other uncomfortably. Ailsa placed her hands on his face and pulled him so he looked at her. “Hey, I know it’s a lot of pressure, but you’re our leader okay? And that means you’ve got to suck it up and do your job,” she said and smiled. “Great speech,” Miranda said with a rude snort, Ailsa glared at her. “Uh, guys…we’ve got company,” Scott said, calling their attention to the three people who crawled out of the forest and looked menacing. They were all male, a knight, a magician and a swordsman. “We, are the Trump team! Give us your card now and we won’t have to fight,” the knight said and pulled his sword from the scabbard. Miranda let out a long maniacal laugh, which made the Trump team and her own team glance at each other, confused. She stopped laughing and elongated her claws. “Permission to deal with these bozos?” she asked, looking up at Walt. “Permission granted,” he replied. She went into recessive stealth mode, seems to have disappeared. The members of the Trump team gasped and backed each other, holding out their weapons and waiting for an attack. “Gotcha,” Miranda suddenly appeared by the magician’s side and stole his scepter. Then disappeared again. “What the f-” the knight started to say but was silenced by a throwing star that hit his hand, knocking his sword to the ground, Miranda swooped it up and disappeared. The swordsman growled, feeling anger, he started to charge towards the rest of the team, screaming at the top of his lungs. Miranda appeared again and flipped mid-air, kicking him with both feet and knocking him to the ground. She stood over him and grabbed his sword which had fallen from his hand, then disappeared again. He scrambled off the floor in fear and ran back to his teammates. The Trump team, now without any weapons, backed each other again, darting their eyes everywhere to guess where she would appear from. She suddenly appeared from above them, laughing and holding a rope in her hand. She swung around them, squeezing them tightly together until they fell to the ground all tied up. “That wasn’t hard at all,” Miranda said and laughed. She bent to search the knight and retrieved the card from the pack wrapped around his waist. “You crazy-” “Oh, shut up…I didn’t even hurt any of you,” she interrupted the magician and ran back to Walt to hand him the card. Walt smiled, impressed while the rest were wide eyed and surprised. Once he tapped the card, the Trump team disappeared and there were now two blue blips on the map. Ailsa whopped and gave Jenny a high five. “I don’t think it’s time to celebrate just yet,” Hogan said and pulled out his swords. There was now another team surrounding them. An elf was amongst them, and he was flying. “Let’s do this,” Walt said and unsheathed his swords. With a battle cry and no words, both teams attacked each other. This team was stronger than the last one and by the time they were done and had managed to retrieve their card, another team had appeared. All around the forest, the sounds of battle filled the air. They could hear metal clanging against metal, explosions going off, people screaming. Walt and his team were not exempt to this experience. They were attacked from all sides, once by two teams who seemed to have teamed up but they still amounted to the same number as Green Light team. Night finally came, but the battle was still on. Although everyone was exhausted, so there were less noises all around them. Under Walt’s orders, they set up camp to rest and reorganize, they also decided to use a single huge tent, so they are together in case of an attack. Michael created a barrier around them to prevent other players from entering their camp and to alert them if anyone managed to. Ailsa used her control of nature to create a camouflaged effect on their camp, covering up their tent with vines and flowers, so it looked like a bush.  “God! If I have to kill another swordsman, I’m going to hang myself!” Miranda complained as they sat around a fire in the tent, chewing on some roasted deer that Ailsa managed to lure into a trap. Jenny groaned and laid down on her back. “I am so tired,” Michael muttered and they all started talking at once, everyone complaining about the day. Walt watched them complain in annoyance. “Hey, hey, hey!” he yelled and they all stopped talking at once “now I know you’re tired, I’m tired too. That’s why we’re taking a break and starting again tomorrow but listen, we are one of the teams with the highest number of members and we got fifteen cards, just today. This competition could take days and I need to know that you’re all in it to win,” he said and looked at each of their faces. They all gave somber but positive responses. “Uh-oh,” Michael said. “What is it?” Walt asked. The magician looked up and swallowed “someone broke through the barrier.” They dashed out of the tent just in time to face off with the intruders. There were five of them, four female players and one male. The male was a magician and the females were all demon cats. One of the demon cats had a whip which she cracked in air, giving them a devilish smile that made her seem so much like Miranda. “Whoa,” Hogan said, gawking at the female. Miranda shot him a glare. “You have a lot of cards,” another one of the demon cats purred, walking towards them and elongating her claws “hand them over, and this won’t have to get messy.” Ailsa burned with jealousy as she watched Walt and the other men in their team stare at the demon cats like they were pieces of candy. Without warning, Ailsa shot up in the air and fired an arrow at the magician, sending him flying back and injuring him. The other demon cats glanced back at their only male member then turned to face Ailsa, hissing at her. Ailsa smirked and landed back on her feet. The demon cats were enraged and charged towards them. They were quick on their feet and very lithe just like Miranda but unlike Miranda, they had ordinary professions. The demon cat with the whip let out a battle cry and pushed herself off her feet, cracking her whip forward to hit Ailsa but got blocked by Jenny who used a defense spell to thwart the attack. Miranda used her recessive stealth mode and disappeared, then appeared behind another one of the demon cats, landing a blow on her back that sent her to the ground. Walt and the other guys stood watching as the literal catfight went down. The demon cats were no match for their own girls and went down one after the other, unable to stand after being dealt blows. Even Jenny who usually shied from battle attacked with gusto and brought down her huge sword on them as much as she could. After about two minutes, they were done and were standing over the intruders, a smirk on each of their faces. The demons groaned and moved uncomfortably on the floor. Ailsa bent and searched them, then retrieved their cards, they had five. A card always displays the name of the team and when a team collects another team’s card, the name on the card changes to the name of the team that collected it. “Wow,” Ailsa said with a laugh as she read the name on the card, then she showed the other girls who laughed also. Walt cleared his throat and Ailsa rolled her eyes before walking over to him to hand him the cards. The card read Harem team.
