“Miss. Miss. Are you alright Miss”. Lexi could hear the old lady’s voice and was sure that her hands were on her arm right now. They felt nice and warm, not harsh and cold like the monsters large callous hands.
“Water”. It took all her effort to whisper, she had yet to open her eyes.
“Oh thank god. Water. Where is the...oh here it is”. She heard the lady scurrying around. Probably grabbing the water from the coffee table.
“Here dear. Lean forward, can you do that”. Lexi felt the bed dip, Carole must have climbed onto the side.
Nope. Lexi couldn’t get her muscles to play ball, they refused to move. Should she start to panic? Clearly Carole caught on to Lexi’s weakness. “Ok. I'm going to lift your head dear. Here take a sip....that's it”.
As the water touched her lips it felt euphoric.
