Nathalie POV
The day was looking up to be good, even though I rather it be my off day.
Jazmine’s sugar daddy, Ben, came in and sat at the bar where I was currently stationed. The guy is a f*****g creep. Ew.
I asked him what he wanted to drink and got it for him. When I rested his whiskey on the countertop, he made it his business to brush his fingers against my hand. I looked at him, irritated at his pass. He seemed oblivious to my reaction and winked at me.
I made a cocktail drink for a customer, shaking the flask when Ben made a comment. “I would love your hands to wrap around me like that if you know what I’m saying” I wanted to gag at that but held myself together. I gave the customer his drink and looked at Ben.
“I wouldn’t want to even if you were the last man on this planet,” I said with a bitter tone. Again he just ignored my attitude.
“Don’t hurt me like that, you know--” he was cut off by Jazmine's high pitch squeal. And frankly, I could not have been any happier that she walked in. She needs to get her man because I surely didn’t want him.
She pulled his tongue and kissed him deeply like she was trying to make somebody jealous. If he was hot and their kissing actually looked good, I wouldn’t have cared. But it didn’t. My lunch wanted to come all the way back up and threw itself all over them.
“Alright, it's a restaurant, not a movie theater. Cut that s**t out. Making people wanna throw up and shit.” I said with a disgusted look on my face. They pulled apart, and Jazmine smiled at me like she won a f*****g trophy.
“Jealous b***h?” I laughed like a manic and wiped the fake tears from my face.
“Of what!? Of you two, aha! Stop playing yourself.” I shook my head and continued to clean the glasses. And wiping the counter down.
I think I might have made Jazmine go into an A.S. Syndrome frenzies; Attention Seeking Syndrome. She was just throwing b***h fits all over the place.
I went to look for Jessica when a gentleman wanted to propose to his girlfriend. I could not find her anywhere, so I went to ask Chef Robert to help me out. He told me what to do, and I did. I bumped into Jazmine, and she threw an A.S.S attack. I ignored her and went to do my job.
It went smoothly, and I felt happy at that. Lance, Jazmine, and I were in the kitchen when Jessica came in. “How’s it going in here, out there, you know the team, any customers giving you guys any problems?” she asked in one long breath.
“For me, it was good, no problems at all,” I said, even though it did have a woman I had to put in her place. She was- you know what, no. I am just going to get myself worked up.
“I could use a drink,” Lance replied. “Just ’cause I can drink.” Jazmine rolled her eyes at him, and I looked at her like WTF and shook my head. If she wanted a young thing so bad, all she had to do was say so. But no, she wanted a man with money, and now she over here tripping on that A.S.S. hahaha.
Jessica did a dramatic sigh.
Please note, when she does this, it’s never good. She has got something up that sleeve of hers. I eyed her for a moment, wanting to see what she would say next. She sighed dramatically again. Chef Robert heard her and shook his head.
The two of them are the cutest old couple that I know. And he knows his woman so damn good. “Wassup Jess, whatcha got planned.”
She gasped and then shrugged her shoulders. “Oh, it's nothing.” she played with one of the dessert plates that I had decorated for Chef Robert. He noticed it, and he mouthed to us ‘watch this.’
“Baby, is there something bothering you? Hmm, what is it? You wanna set someone up?” She squealed, everyone laughed.
“Ugh, fine, you got me. Nathalie, I want-” I did not give her the chance to finish that sentence.
“Nope! N to the O to the P to the E. Not happening, no way in hell am I going on another one of your blind dates.” I blurted out.
“Oh, come on, you didn’t even let me finish.”
“Last time I went on one of your blind dates, the guy turned out to be a freaking weirdo! Who the hell brings a puppet to a blind date!” Seriously who does that s**t? Oh-oh, I know, I know, Jessica’s friends. Psh, not this time, Jessica.
“And the time before that, the guy was a loud eater...” Lance said, shaking his head. It was like he was announcing to the world that he could chew.
“Who clipped his toenails at the table,” Robert added. The three of us shivered, and I shook my head. As if him chewing loudly wasn't bad enough, he also clipped his toes. That was a zero f**k's given type of guy.
“Wait, so you hook her up but not me. I’m sure I’m the better choice for whoever it is.” Jazmine commented. A.S.S alert. Did she not hear the type of guys I got set up with? And why is she emotional about this? She has a man.
“If I want him to date another gold digger, I know where to find you,” That got a couple of ooh’s out of us. Shots were fired, and feelings got hurt. Jazmine walked out of the kitchen. Jessica put her attention back to me, but I wasn’t having it.
“That girl needs a good d**k down,” Lance commented out loud.
“Give it to her, then she might stop,” Robert commented, and I stifled a laugh.
She followed me, having a meaningless conversation with a few more ‘come-ons’ and me denying it.
My shift at the restaurant was over, and I was on my way to my second job. Lance offered to walk me there, and he vented to me that Emily was acting weird. He wanted me to talk to her, but little did he know I already know what it was about.
I almost ruined the whole surprise! I was going to be a freaking aunt. Yay me! And Nah, I don’t have any brothers or sisters. I mean, I had a brother, but he died from a brain tumor, and my mom did have a baby girl, but she was stillborn. I'm the only survivor out of my two siblings. My mom didn’t try and have any more kids.
She now lives in Africa, helping the people and teaching the little kids. We talked almost every day, and if she found out that I was stripping, she would probably beat my ass.
Anyways, I would be an aunt, and I couldn’t wait until Emily finally told Lance so I can scream in excitement.
