I couldn't help but smile. I had spent months adjusting to my new life, wrestling with the secrets of the werewolf world. Derek, the man who had saved me and become my anchor in this exciting new existence, was now mine. And I was his. Nothing else mattered, or so I thought.
"You surprised me tonight, you know," Derek said, his voice low and filled with warmth. "But I've never been so sure of anything in my life."
