Maddox's POV
I look at Zelda who is staring at the view of the river before us. I look at the view but quickly realise that it doesn't compare to the girl who is sitting beside me. She is more beautiful.
"So?" I ask her and she finally looks at me. Her hazel eyes are just as beautiful as ever.
"Where do you think we stand? You and I?" She asks and honestly, that is exactly what I wanted to ask her.
"I wanted to ask you the same thing" I whisper and she nods.
We both sit silent for two more minutes until Ajax literally forces me to ask her opinion. He even proceeded to call me a coward but maybe I am that. Deborah was my mate so I didn't have to do anything to win her heart.
