I just stand and stare at the barren lands on the other side of the river. The supposedly witch territory is now nothing but a pile of dust and smoke. They were once our allies. We were undefeatable together. But according to what my father said, he trusted his friend but did not see the war brewing.
Sometimes, I wonder what it would have been like if they are still friends. I sigh and look at my side of the river shore. Green grass, dandelions and scenic beauty. Very pleasant unlike the heart of the ruling Alpha King.
