Maddox's POV
Ian and I are walking side by side. He hasn't spoken a word since his confession yesterday night. Kelsie and Lucia are walking behind us and we are already close to the vampire kingdom.
Now when I heard it is called vampire kingdom, I expected castles and all sorts of vibe. But it looks like a regular territory with simple houses and people living their own life.
Not just werewolves but even vampires live in woods and in groups. Because they need blood to survive and they cannot risk revealing their identity among humans.
All these people here, majority of them are still untamed. They cannot resist themselves when left among humans. Which is exactly why a remote location is needed. By far I think Edgar is doing a tremendous job at that.
