Alpha's Imprinted

Chapter 1

Maddox's POV

I stare at the ceiling and I have been staring at the same ceiling for a few minutes actually. With only three hours of sleep, my head is pounding and my eyes are burning. But every time I close my eyes, I see my mother. It is her death anniversary in a few days.

The room starts getting brighter and I know it is time for the sun to rise. Good luck sun, but I rose first today.

I get up and stand under the shower. The warm droplets fall on me first, rolling down my body. I close my eyes for a moment and I see my mother's image again.

"Get your f*****g s**t together, Maddox!" I tell myself before finishing my business.

I brush my teeth and walk out in nothing but a towel hanging loosely around my waist. I have this habit of sitting on the bed after a shower doing nothing, until I realize that I have to get up and get dressed so I can carry on with the day.

After what feels like ten minutes, I walk to my wardrobe to pick my outfit. And when I am looking at everything, I hear the sound of shattering glass behind me.

I turn around to see a girl quickly picking up the pieces of the broken cup. Coffee is spilt everywhere now.

"Who are you?" I ask her.

"Krystal, Alpha!" She says with her voice trembling.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her again.

"I was... I was, to give you your morning coffee, Alpha" she says and I walk to her.

"Where is Chloe?" I ask her because Chloe is the one who gives me my morning coffee every single day.

"She is ill, Alpha. I am her temporary replacement" she says as she resumes picking up those shattered pieces.

I see.

"So you are not from this pack?" I ask her and she shakes her head.

I hold her hand, stopping her from picking up the shards. She is clearly startled but she does not say a word. I stand up, making her stand as well.

She does not meet my eye as I gently push her to sit on my bed. I walk to the door and lock it before walking to my bed again.

"A-Alpha" she whispers but I shush her, placing my finger on her lips.

"What pack do you belong to?" I ask her.

"Evergreen" she whispers and I nod, my fingertips circling on her wrist and slowly moving up.

Evergreen pack is a small one.

"Do you have a mate?" I ask her and she shakes her head confirming no.

So here is the thing. I am a man. I have my needs. But my rule is I never ever sleep with a member of my pack. Because my pack is my family.

"Would you be okay if I took your innocence?" I ask her and she looks at me, finally.

"I would do it only if you are willing to" I say and that is the truth.

"A-Alpha" she stutters again.

"Yes, Krystal" I whisper with my face just an inch away from hers. I can see her eyes slowly turn a shade darker and I know she wants this just as much as I do.

"I will not do anything if you don't want me to" I say and move just a tad bit closer, and she is the first one to kiss me.

I bite her lip, falling on her. When her back hit the mattress and me on top of her, she gasps making it much easier for me to dominate.

My hands roam all over her body. She is squirming under my touch and it only fuels me to go further.

I quickly undress her and she is laying naked, totally for me to see. And to be honest, I like what I am seeing.

In one swift move, I enter her and smirk at what I discovered.

"You aren't a virgin, huh" I smirk and she shakes her head.

"You dirty girl" I saw and pound into her mercilessly, with my one hand covering her mouth so she wouldn't scream louder.

She came faster than me but I keep moving until I am done and pull out right before I am done. I unload it all over her naked body and she looks like she clearly enjoys it.

I smirk at her again and grab my towel, throwing her clothes at her. I pick my outfit for the day as I watch her get dressed with a frown on her face.

"What? You didn't like it?" I ask her and she looks at me.

"I did, Alpha," she whispers.

"Then we'll see if we can do it again" I smirk at her and she finally smiles, walking out after picking up the glass shards again.

I stop smiling as soon as she walks out and take another shower before walking downstairs.

I see my father waiting for me at the dining table with breakfast before him. He looks at Krystal once and then at me, shakes his head in disapproval but I don't even give him a reaction.

I just sit before him and breakfast is served to me too. Sausages, eggs and toast.

"Where is my coffee?" I ask the one serving me.

"Chloe is ill, Alpha" she says with a trembling voice and I recall that. Krystal told me.

Chloe is an Omega. She works here at pack house. She takes care of my morning coffee, breakfast coffee, evening coffee and everything else.

I dig into my breakfast and my father is not even touching his.

"What are your plans for the day?" Dad asks and I stop eating.

"The regular Alpha Duties" I say and he nods.

"Good morning" I hear Ian.

Ian is a cheery bastard. Sometimes when I look at him, I wonder what it is like to be the second born or the youngest.

"I am already late. So I shall skip breakfast but see you all later" Ian smiles and walks away.

My brother Ian, is now working as an economics lecturer in a college. On human land. He convinced us that this is his approach to know about humans since he has time until he takes up the Alpha title.

Because one day, after my coronation I would officially be the king. And my brother would be the Alpha. For now, I am managing both with zero time in my hands for anything else.

"Maddox, I know the war, losing your mother, your mate, Kelsie leaving to her mate's pack took a toll on you. But son, that is all a part of life. You need to-"

"I am fine, dad. I have told you many times. This is my version of being fine" I say and he looks at me with disappointment.

"I shouldn't have told you about the king's duties when you were seven" he shakes his head and that is when I felt like I had enough.

"Dad, I really appreciate the fact that you want to help me. But there is nothing going on where I need your help. I am doing just fine and this is my way of doing things" I say and stand up before finishing my breakfast.

While I am walking out, I see Krystal through the corner of my eye. She doesn't meet my eye but I know she must be wondering why me and my dad are fighting. It does not concern her anyway.

I walk out and I see Ian about to go crazy.

"I thought you left" I say and he looks at me.

"Thank God! I did not notice this flat tire" he points to one of the car tires and then looks at me again.

"There is an important seminar today, Maddox. I need to be there on time" he says and I nod.

We both sit in my car and I start driving fast. I actually don't like Ian working on human territory. There were many nights he would come home with blood because of rogue attacks. Werewolf hunters and sometimes even vampires.

But he just wouldn't listen. And the responsibility I took as the big brother, I have nothing else to do but ask him to take care and carry on with whatever he wants to do.

"What is the seminar about?" I ask him, trying to initiate a conversation.

"Supply and Demand, Markets and Princes" Ian says and I sigh.

"Sometimes I question if it was a good decision letting you and Kelsie study in human schools" I say and Ian just chuckles.

"That wasn't a joke" I say.

"Coming out of you, it is" he says still chuckling and I don't say anything else.

I keep my eyes on the road, trying my best to drive fast and safely so my brother can reach his seminar on time. Ian meanwhile takes another look at his papers and he looks like he is even trying to memorize a few things.

We reach his college with ten minutes left for the seminar to start and Ian hugs me.

"Wait for me. I'll be back in three hours and we can leave. It is just a seminar today for my schedule" Ian says and leaves before I can protest.

I sigh and look around. And I start walking inside the campus behind Ian. I cannot help but look at girls eyeing him like a piece of meat.

When their eyes fall on me, they still drool. Sometimes I take pride in it. I like when girls turn their heads when I walk, just to look at me and just to get a reaction from me.

Ian quickly mindlinked me to stay in the library and that he would come and find me. I have been here a few times with Ian. I know my way around and there are few places visitors can sit at or walk and see.

I walk to the library and go to the literature section. And then find a good romance book to spend three hours with.

So here is the thing. I read romance books not because I want to, but sometimes they have these points where they say what can make a girl happy. I read that and imagined Deborah. My mate who I lost three years ago.

Maybe I am still stuck with the memories of her. But that is just how I am coping with everything. I know there should be a Queen because eventually, we will need an heir. For some reason Ian keeps saying he cannot do that.

I am halfway through it when Ian walks to me. I look at the clock and it's funny how I passed hours with one book. I look around and every girl is just staring at me and smiling at me.

"I thought I was the handsome one" Ian shrugs, making me smirk and put the book aside.

"How was the seminar?" I ask my brother and he starts telling me about it.

He starts telling me all about it, but halfway my focus shifts on a few bullies who just entered the library.

"These fools just got here after their suspension" Ian whispers and I nod.

They are weirdly noisy and rude to others for no apparent reason. My Alpha King blood is slowly kicking in, and I clench my fist.

"Maddox no! You just have to let it be. Like humans" Ian says.

"Like humans? So what do humans do? Let these asses do and talk whatever they want?" I ask him and he holds my hand under the table.

"Don't, Maddox! You will make me fall in trouble. I am not requesting you.. I am telling you!" Ian says and I glare at him before I sit like a human.

"So you are going to do nothing too?" I ask Ian.

"Humans don't fight. So I don't fight. But I cannot sit right when someone is doing something wrong. How did you think they landed in suspension in the first place?" Ian asks and I finally give my brother a half smile.

"Maybe they are in for more. But fighting will do nothing here" Ian says again and I nod.

I look around, and I see a girl trying her best to read but the guys are just too loud. I see her, tapping her legs in an impatient way. Squinting her eyes like she is trying to focus.

"What? Do you like her?" Ian asks and I glare at him.

"What were we talking about?" I ask Ian and he narrows his eyes at me.

"I don't want someone who would sit like a human and let things happen. I like someone who takes charge" I say and Ian shakes his head with a smile.

"Shall we leave?" I ask and Ian nods.

Just as we both are standing, I hear a scream. Not the terrified kind of scream but asking people to shut the f**k up kind of scream.

"Guys, silence please?" The girl yells at them and the group exchange glances before looking at her again.

"Why not. But promise you will make some noise in my bed" a guy yells back at her.

I look at the girl who is staring into her book. The typical nerd I usually read in books and see in movies. Definitely not my type.

I am about to leave again, when I see her tie her hair up. She stands up and storms towards the group.

"She is going to get herself some deep s**t" Ajax, my wolf says.

"How about you all make noise once and you won't be able to make noise again?" The girl asks standing before them.

"What?" One of the guys asked.

And just like that, this girl started punching each and every guy of the group. She broke jaws. She slapped and kicked an entire group.

With one last glare, she raises an eyebrow at them. The guys who now look embarrassed to be beaten up by a girl, silently walks out of the library without making a noise.

The girl takes another book from the section where the guys were standing before, and walks back to her place as if nothing happened.

"I guess now she is your type" I hear Ian and I shake my head at him.

"Then why are you smiling?" He asks and only then I realize that I am actually smiling.

I stopped smiling and walked out, but I couldn't help so I looked at her one last time before exiting through the main door.

She is actually interesting.
